TBH I wouldn't mind seeing a performamce version. It would make the people who buy priuses (people who generally don't care for cars) more excited about cars. Maybe we would get some more people into the car scene.

Maybe a Prius mated with a Dodge Dart and that is their bastard child?

Also, does this remind anyone else of a Mclaren?

Priuses start crushing big diesel trucks at stop lights. Have "douche repellent" stickers next to their tail pipes

OK enough on Priuses.
Not official by a long stretch and I may get bit but looks legit as hell!

It reminds me of a straight rip-off of the new civic coupe rear lights.

I thought everyone on this forum hated the civic look?

It doesn't. As has been said it is just worded poorly and seems to say that even though it really isn't what was meant. Should be two separate sentences which changes the whole thing.

Well the sweet thing about the door ajar is if it is the passenger door you can just reach across and pull it closed. No having to get out and walk around.

I'll add a few more thoughts.

1. Toyota is a large company that has a mission statement to make $.
2. The FRS ----> Toy 86 as suggested previously has been slightly massaged to appeal to more people to make more $.
3. RWD small sports cars is a very small niche. I would think that a "majority" of boomers looking for the midlife toy are looking for the muscle cars that they grew up with. Not all .... But most.
4. Current focus on car development rests with self driving cars. That is the direction everyone is going. Like it or not. Sorry.

I like the 86 bumper over this, much more aggressive looking, pair it with the brz headlights it would be even better. alot going on.The BRZ has turned into an upgrade to the simplistic 86 with it's bells and whistles galore. Too fancy for my taste.

Subaru always had more bells and whistles to begin with though compared to Toyota. I'm actually not that surprised.
