Thanks for getting some clarification on the black tS fender garnishes. I wish I had never seen because the silver ones just aren't the same. I have gone ahead and ordered the Hyper.Blue black side fins to replace the chrome ones that were on the car when I bought it. It will have to do and will essentially achieve the same look. This will tide me over until Subaru/STI decides to sell them (a guy can dream right?) or I'll just get the silver ones down the road. I need to focus on getting that STI sport muffler anyways...

Also, I figured this might be a good place to post about the STI tower bar since many of you may already own it. It is next on my list of parts and I wanted to know if I need to jack the car up to install it?

No jacking required.

Oh man this is so true for me >.<

Good thing there's not too many euro parts I want for the car but it's definitely more of a financial burden for the few I do want

Yea there used to be a German site called TMTuning which was exactly like JapanParts, too bad they closed down since they didn't price gouge like ECS Tuning and OEMPlus.

The must haves for me would be the Euro driver side mirror, light switch and rear fog light. Unless you need to get a set of OEM Recaro Sportster CS for the Golf too!

Perfect. Thank you! I have seen people jack up the car and others not. Just wanted to be sure I install it properly. Time to pick up a torque wrench.

Sooo... I did something today... Ordering these knowing that they would not fit properly I decided to do so anyways.

Arrived in the mail today and went ahead to install them right away. They do fit very poorly and ended up fighting and scratching up a little bit of the "fins" to get it adjusted properly (and even so, still obviously misaligned).

They look great but I do not recommend it to anybody else, they're $400 CAD (with our crappy dollar at the moment, it's REALLY not worth it lol) and don't fit perfectly with our North American spec foglight bezel covers...

Oh, they're the LED dayliner cover extensions... Lol, no actual pics because... I couldn't get a good shot in the stuffy and cramped garage.

... And of course, like with any other mods I always, ALWAYS walk away with some sort of battle scar... XD

I found you have to play with the fitment a little. It will never be perfect of course but on mine we got t aligned so that it's really only off on the first "fin".

The fins just don't seem to cooperate with one another... It's so frustrating haha. It also seems like the bottom corner hovers teeny bit (1 mm) over the foglamp cover so in the future trying to take the cover off might be a little harder.

Ugh... main reason I wanted the new fender garnish was because it would be in the new WRB.

I don't know if you removed fog covers to install or not, but included black stickers are mandatory.
The shape of fog covers is equal to Japan non-fog cover therefore the measures are equal. I know thus I changed stock mine with JDM RA no fog cover.
Better results are uninstalling fog covers and install tS side covers and then re-install fog covers as mentioned in install guide.

I removed the foglight covers as per instructions and used the black vinyl decals supplied. The fitment is off because the spacing per fin do not match. What I'm trying to say is that, I think the fins for the fog light vs no foglight are slightly different.

Same here. I was hesitant to pick them up because of the difference in paint code. I did see someone on this forum order the silver set and remove the STI side fin and affix it to their stock garnish. I may do this down the road if they end up not releasing the black set.
