Which engineering field are you looking to get in?
I'm a Mechatronics engineer, so basically electrical and mechanical. I could do computer, but we take all those classes in our senior year.

I take it that you are willing to relocate?
We are always looking for engineers someplace in the world.
PMed a link.

These people trying to say that crank pulleys provide additional horsepower are like the anti-scientific fanatics who try to deny that science and evolution exists.
Beacause "believing" that an engine Mod produces more HP without a shred of proof (just Faith) is a fool's errand.

You are more than welcome to practice your own beliefs and do whatever to your own car, you're also more than welcome to inform people about your own beliefs calmly and rationally...but don't go around trying to discredit everyone else yelling that they're engineers, physics worshipers and liars just because they think different than you without the facts to back it up.

Science is PROVEN and as much as you try...you cannot deny it, you can however integrate it into your own beliefs...there is nothing that says Science and Faith-based Engine modifiers cannot live in harmony.
On one hand you have those that believe exactly what they SEE and FEEL and know how to use the scientific method.
On the other hand you have those that use feeling, emotions, and childhood brain-washing to justify their choices.

Faith-based modders make it sound like a ‘theory’ is something you dreamt up after being drunk all night.

All thinking men are physicists.

Faith-based modification means not wanting to know what is true.

The fact that a believer is happier than a skeptic is no more to the point than the fact that a drunken man is happier than a sober one.

A man is accepted into the faith-based modders club for what he believes and he is turned out for what he knows.

faith-based engine modification is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful.

The modders say the earth is flat, but I know that it is round, for I have seen the shadow on the moon, and I have more faith in a shadow than in the internet-expert.

It’s an incredible con job when you think about it, to believe something now in exchange for something on the dyno. Even corporations with their reward systems don’t try to make it posthumous.

^to continue... I have this installed...

energy halo
It's a velocity stack insert. You lose some throttle body size, but possibly gain some efficiency/power? I'm no expert. Here is the dyno, take note that the there is 1-2% error window in the dyno and in between runs.

I've noticed that the car is slightly smoother(probably placebo), but throttle response was lost with it on.
Does hp on a dyno translate to actual acceleration in real life? Similar(or opposite) to the idea that pulleys help acceleration but don't make power?

It's okay, we can get through this.

In Texas, it's pick-em-up trucks, some the size of semis. Also tiny women in huge Suburbans.

Science isn't PROVED, science is a process. You can never PROVE a theory, you can only disprove it. The rest of it is always subject to revision.

This is science:

A. Observe a natural phenomenon that doesn't fit in with the present understanding of how things work. Verify that the observation is valid and not the result of a measurement error or some other confounding factor.

B. Form a hypothesis to attempt to explain the observation.

C. Devise a test for the hypothesis that includes the ability to predict the expected outcome.

D. Attempt to prove the null hypothesis: is there a way to explain the resulting data as the result of random chance? Does the outcome of the experiment still support the hypothesis? Are there any possible alternative explanations?

E. If step D does not reject the null, repeat steps B through D with a new hypothesis.

F. If step D rejects the null, test and reject possible alternative explanations.

G. If step F does not lead to rejection of the alternative explanations, redesign the experiment to test for these alternatives (steps B through D again for each one.)

H. Keep in mind that your hypothesis may be proved false at any time based on new evidence. Go back to step B.

and most important,

I. Don't ever fall in love with your own hypothesis. The divorce can get really messy.

I think my iPhone charging wire is busted internally. I can't even get the phone to charge.

I fucking hate these crappy iPhone wires and I don't want to spend Apple $$$ (well, about $10 now that I just looked it up) for their short and shitty charging wires. Can anyone suggest a superior alternative for charging the iPhone? I'm looking for a good, cheap, and long wire, but I am open to anything.

The AmazonBasics wires are pretty solid, and cheap.
