Kinder surprise are chocolate eggs sold by Kinder that contain a small toy inside (empty egg with a plastic container inside with the toy enclosed. They were outlawed in the US because of stupidity basically.

They were a choking hazard because parents were too stupid to: 1. supervise their children when they were opening them and playing with the toys 2. allowing children younger than they should to play with the toys (small pieces so not for 1-2 yr olds)3. Failed to verify if the toy posed any risk to the child because of small pieces.

So because of that Kinder Surprises are now illegal in the USA, yet you can go and purchase an AR-15 because idiocy reigns supreme?! Seriously that puzzles me AR-15 Legal, small chocolate egg with cheap toy banned because it poses a health threat.... AR-15's aren't a health risk though, everyone knows you need your daily helping of lead!?

Yet banning all guns in south Africa hasn't stopped it from having the highest crime rate in the world. While I agree it's stupid these eggs are banned, it would be equally stupid to ban law abiding citizens from owning a gun. I own an ak47 and have yet to commit any terrorist acts. Stricter background checks and punishments for gun related transgressions are a good idea though IMO

That's what I meant but didn't feel like typing several paragraph or rewriting,I agree they need stricter laws and to actually enforce the existing ones.

That being said the comparison was just something I had seen and found hilarious.
Kinder = Illegal
AR-15= Just fine lol

It is pretty funny. Cept those eggs look pretty cool. If you buy one on like ebay, do they take it at customs or just illegal for commercial sale? Is there a black market for these?

I don't think either should be illegal, but I suppose if we wrapped an AR-15 in chocolate, it could pose a choking hazard for morons.

It wouldn't work after that. AK would operate fine.

Yeah, I was curious too so I went to Amazon. There was no statement saying delivery to US Addresses was prohibited. Maybe at checkout?

They'll let them ship it's just customs agents that'll kick down your door to deliver them

Sort of yes. Since they are prohibited in the whole US they are banned for import. Now they will not come pounding on your door if intercepted at the border they would be seized and destroyed by Customs. I would hope they had better things to look for but the damn little toys are banned. Oh, actually it isn't the toys themselves but the egg shaped plastic they come in that is the issue. ironically I bet you could go down to the local dollar store and buy that same egg shaped container every Easter.
