For those that have gotten these cam codes--->when these codes come up does the car's performance seem off?? What happens if you ignore these codes and keep driving? Do you guys rev up to redline often?

There were a bunch that had these codes when their 2013 were new. Then it seemed not to be posted much but now new posts with people around 30-40K. You would think that since the engines are broken in at this point that this would not be an issue.

The performance is definitely off, it goes into some sort of limp **** mode and I just want to feed it a Viagra. Cruise control doesn't work and accelerating feels like mud. When I got my car back the first time and before getting a second check engine light, it felt like a damn race car. However, that could have been due to driving a corolla for a week.

do yourself a favor: stop posting/updating so often and soliciting feedback from people who do not know your specific issues.

The last thing you want is a bunch of 3rd party opinion about what the dealer should or should not have done.

Your powertrain warranty is 5 years or 60k miles.

I'm sorry? People want to hear updates about what is going on and I'd thought i'd update them? why shouldn't I do that?

Because you're detailing every single item and you don't need to.

I don't want you to focus on details or specific wording, because at some point it will take focus away from the bigger picture of fixing your warranty issue.

Things like "watched Initial D" are details that are inconsequential and meaningless for what you are trying to do.

BTW I am not saying don't update... just focus on big picture and not details like transcribing an entire voicemail.

You're going to flame me because I'm going into detail? I'm just sharing my experience. What's so wrong that dude? I created the thread, why do you care so much? And if this is how you're going to treat people over the internet because they spoke their mind, then damn you're going to have a rough time.

Calm down.

Please read my comment again and ask what part of it is me flaming you.

I am trying to help by telling you to focus on the big picture, not details like transcribing an entire voicemail or posting details about what side conversation you had with the service adviser at the dealer.

If you want to share your experience, go for it. Let me quote myself again so you can re-read:

I did not say you are doing anything wrong. I am merely telling you to focus on big picture....

Unfortunately its hard to depcit people's mood from text. I don't need to "calm down", I don't find it necessary because I am not worked up. I included the word for word voicemail to illustrate that the representative talking to me doesn't exactly know what is going on. He seemed to be mumbling and not aware of the actual parts that are going into the car. I'm not upset with the dealership NOR have I released any names for this specific reason.

BTW, I am trying to avoid you being like this previous thread, where the focus on details took away from the overall picture of trying to fix the car.

I read that and thought the rep knew what was inbound (overall parts to fix the car), but does not know every single part because of the way parts are labeled.

Sometimes small bolts like camshaft sprocket bolts are labeled as "A CAM BOLT" in the parts description from corporate.

You really shouldn't focus on these details. It only makes you make assumptions about the other person you are dealing with.

-alex

P.S. Here's a list of parts recently ordered from Subaru. Would you be able to decipher what is on this list?

MisterSheep. If you're curious, I got my car back today. Here's what they did. I can't decipher everything on here, only what the service rep told me before. They also drove it ~ 150 miles and changed my radio stations . Also my gear indicator on the dash does not display now but I'm sure there's a fix for that I can do myself. I'd take a pic of my invoice but my phone camera is cracked, so I'll just type up some of it real quick. Here's what my invoice says:

I take vvti sprockets are sticking. Codes p0016 b1 s "A" p0018 b2 s "A" cam/crank shaft correlation case#153270966 replaced b1 and b2 intake vvti sprockets and actuator. As per tax case#153270966. 140021 4.1 8A/83

Car felt good for the 10 miles I drove it. Hopefully everything is ok now. I will take it out for a longer drive tomorrow.
