That is a very audacious and bold statement..

I'm just here trolling since these threads go no where. I'll just go back to the track/technical forums where the useful info is. Until Monday, Random Thoughts Thread is entertaining early in the week.

No way a toyotas engine will go kaput at 65000 kms. You will get at least 300k out of it. I've seen toyotas with 500,000 kms on them and they run fine. Maintenance is the key, mainly changing oil on time.

Almost nobody knows, anybody who says they do is either a fool or has Toyobaru data to back it up.

Full on internet speculation: Personally I think it's going to be solid through 100k miles for >99%, mine has taken a lot of abuse at 43k with no major issues so far (except coilpacks on track) and there are others who have run their car harder and longer. After that I wouldn't hazard a guess, could be 120k or 320k, who knows. Just now we're seeing people get up into >50k, it will be another two or three years before we have any kind of non-negligible >100k sample size (right now I can think of two, one blew a motor at ~60k the other is boosted on the original motor with no problems for tens of thousands of those 100k).

Yea but it's a boxer with 90% built by Subaru.. and I've personally never seen one over 300k...Toyota motors on the other hand I have seen plenty over 200k miles.I just wish sometimes Toyota/Yamaha would have slapped a straight 4 in the 86..

Keep in mind it is a subaru. I'm guessing lots of head gaskets going at 80-120k, then depending on if they shut the car off fast enough you may have warped heads.

If I had a dollar for every fortune telling thread on this site, I'd have an LS1 swap paid for by the time the FA20 blows up.
