Is this expected to actually be quieter than stock axleback?

No but it will rattle/rasp less than stock when you have no cats.

Hmm, after watching [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWTARjxiqlo"]this video[/ame] 17:20-23:39 i wonder if going for no stuffing type of muffler was the best decision? Among pros i guess no degradation of stuffing material, but among cons - maybe slight performance degradation vs other type of muffling at same noise level, no?

I think you missed the point of this exhaust.

If you're worried about power loss, you should see some of the creative solutions at Laguna Seca that quiet the car down, at the cost of a LOT of power.

On the other hand... I'll just leave this here as an example.

Awesome! This is going to cost a lot for me to quiet down isn't it? Please make a full cat back version too, with nice dual tips...please??!!??!!??!! I so love the type A 350 header I have, but reeeaaahhheeeaaalllyyy want to quiet down. Please , please make it affordable. Please! I don't know how much more car expense my wife can take. You guys got any dishes that need cleaning, or a bathroom or something?

It's not a $11,000 axleback like the Akrapovic

@CSG Mike or @CSG David, do you guys have any idea when this might become available, and a ballpark price estimate? Nothing official that I will hold you to, just wondering how much money I need to be saving up for this. I know you probably cannot divulge this, but I am ready to have this sorted and enjoy my car again with a nice looking exhaust. You guys are great, thanks! (But I am still gonna come back to this thread and nag you every once in awhile)

I believe I am answering accurately on their behalf- production is still up in the air, and if it does get produced it will most likely be in about 6-8 months. Cost will be roughly $1k for the axleback.

I really hope they offer it as a cat back, with a mid pipe too. Hate to have all this 304 stainless goodness with the stock mid pipe.

I'd rather have an axle back for something that is trying to keep the performance of the stock muffler but quieter. Keeps the cost down. But let's see what they have to offer first.

If you want to test this on an NA setup with the ACE 4-2-1 Type B 250 header, then it would cost you lest to ship it to Australia (me)

its designed to mount to stock midpipe. an indication that they are not designing their own midpipe. also an indication that they didnt think it was necessary for gainz or better sound

So it will be axle back instead of catback then? From side gains i see lower manufacturing costs and cheaper shipping price due smaller shipping weight/dimensions.
