^Yup. NASIOC is a joke. For every knowledgable person on that forum, there are 10 incompetent morons.

When it comes to Subaru forums, I stick with iwsti. Big difference between the two forums when it comes to the level of maturity and intelligence.

Yeah, I actually think the FRS seats were a bit more comfy than the WRX/STI seats.. However, the WRX/STI is a more comfortable car overall to drive in.

well now that i have owned and sat in both i can tell you flat out that my shoulders and back are too wide for the BRZ seats, they dig into my back and shoulder blades, and they hurt my ass after 30 minutes of driving, we are all built differently so i wouldn't expect either seat to have the same results i have had.

For me, the seats on the WRX was one of the things I disliked about the car. Sat high, no bolstering, and with the leather, you just slide all over the place when cornering. While I got a little bit more use to it over time, I just never felt at home even up to the point I sold the car.

My STi had the worst seats out of any car I've ever owned. Including a Ford Ranger. Literally their only redeeming quality was the construction material.

Also, NASIOC and IWSTI are both good. To counter some of the arguments for one vs the other I see here, every forum has its knowledgeable people and its people that think they are. It's on you to figure that one out.

There's also i-club but to be honest I think it's a bunch of insufferable twats that have been on the forums since 1995 with nothing better to do than disagree with everyone. Because reasons.

Chiming in because I own both cars and I gotta say the seats in the twins is a million times more supportive but this is a very subjective thing. The WRX is more livable on a regular basis. If it's just me and the mrs's then we take the FRS but if anyone else comes along then the WRX it is. Also, snow season is coming up and I'm going to be covering up the FRS for the winter.

Congrats on the WRX! I know you'll be happy. Sad to see another twin go. Seems like we're dropping like flies. I've seen in the past two weeks 3 lost to FoST's, FiST's and WRX's.

We've got the twins and the new 2015+ WRX and STI in-house over here!! They are both great cars with their own things to love about them

Give us a shout over at Subispeed.com if you have any questions!

I have to agree with everyone that says the BRZ/FRS seats are supportive. You don't get thrown around and feel positioned well always. It is a sports car, a true one at that.

But, on any long trip I'm takin' my SS. (Don't know how much different the SS seats are than a WRX, but I figure it's probably comparable.) So I do see both sides of this argument/discussion.

There's a difference between a short sprint around the block test drive and a DD especially when you have a long commute. I've often been in awe of the BRZ's incredible seats but after 40k+ miles, they are getting to be a PITA. I'm often driving with a hand wedged into my left outer thigh, adjusting and re-adjusting my rear or look for something to put behind my back. Just getting old I guess. I don't know if a WRX is the answer but I need more comfort and more room while you're at it.

I spent a brief amount of time on NASIOC. A few knowledgable people. A few who THOUGHT they were knowledgable. A LOT of tools. And a whole lot of butthurt flying around. I looked around on the forum and decided to pass.

I found NASIOC was a good general forum.... IWSTI has a lot of technical people on it, and they all specifically cater to the WRX and STI owners.

I've never been in a WRX, but I've been interested in getting a larger vehicle with a better interest rate as well.
I love my BRZ, but the size just isn't practical now that I'm getting older and I don't have a second car. The thought had crossed my mind to look into a larger car like the WRX, but I'm afraid it won't be large enough.
For that reason, I'm maybe considering a Ford Explorer or something similar.

How do you like the size of the WRX? Those look like very, but I've only admired them from a distance. Never even seen the inside of them. How do they compare to a Limited BRZ as far as upgrades (Dual Climate, Heated Seats, NAV, etc)

Back in 09-12 when I had my 06 wrx the community on nasioc was pretty good but getting bad, I can only assume with the children buying them now it's gone to shit, just like my350z.com back in 07-08 now look at those poor cars..

I'm in Austin, I have a Limited 15 WRX if you want to check it out sometime. PM me if you want to meet up at a Starbucks or food truck somewhere.
