Had a friend do this to his as well and he told me that the best place to do it is underneath the headliner, said it made the most difference in his. Also that doing it all is very worthwhile.

Mine are self tapping black screws, the ones that have a matte finish. Drill the holes so they are a decent amount smaller than the screw.

where did you get them? are they like those button things that hold door panels on? I tried Home Depot but when you tell them "self tapping" they take that is "will drill into metal".

lol no. They came with the lip.. I'm on my second lip and both came with the screws. I'd just look around at their selection and pick ones that look like the correct length and have a matte finish.

So I installed some items today , some people might be interested in what it looks like.

Wasn't feeling the silver trim pieces in my brz so I wanted to replace everything with black OEM/JDM pieces . Not really into palsti dip.

I also then replaced the shift knob , so I got the raceseng slammer knob . Looking to sell by the way . After installing I realize I like the size/shape and weight of the stock knob. $100 would take it off my hands it is really good quality. I thought I would like the smooth shift feel , but I don't. I actually like the mechanical feel of the stock knob.

Black OEM trac and Vsc on the way on back order . New floor mats arrive tomorrow . All other interior pieces to be replaced with JDM Coach work Suede stuff. I am trying to find gold/brushed reverse lock out piece....
