A lot of threads are deleted/not updated due to other users on the board and flooded PM's whether it be positive or hate mail.

Quick Update!

Sorry it's been a while, we are moving to a bigger shop so my time has been consumed.

We went to the drag strip for some testing and, as suspected, our torque converter was set up waaay too tight, this prevented the car from launching at all. We couldn't build any boost off the line which resulted in literally leaving from the line like a snail. So we just tested out the top end to make sure the car feels strong and safe.

So far our best trap speed has been 137mph! That's with a 2.6 second sixty foot, for those familiar with drag racing, you know what a hug effect 60 foot has on mph, so we've obviously got more in her!

The torque converter is on its way back to us along with a trans brake!

Stay tuned for more updates, we hope to break the quarter mile record before this season is over!

Here's some fun stuff:

We stayed until 2am last night getting the updated converter installed and trans back in. Now it makes boost off the line. Track very soon for real testing.

Update:

The last race of the year is in 3 weeks. We have to run 9.99 or better to even enter, so needless to say we will have our hands full. So far we have changed from the Borg 67 to a Precision Ball Bearing 6766 Billet and added a trans brake and bump box!
