Thats what I was told by 2 different dealers in my area. The Hyper Blue will be added to the line-up while the Rally Blue stays on as well

Subaru or Scion dealers?
Well shit. Now I'm just paying for blue stitching on the inside?!
@Veloist
Do you have any information on this?

Subaru dealers... Wife had a bad vibe when we looked at an FRS, and we had 0 interaction with the Toyota staff when we stopped to look. We went by Subaru and they were more than happy to help us out and figure out if it was what I wanted. IF the Hyper Blue does become a regular production color it'll be a tough call for anyone who is buying the Series Blue. From what I've read the 2015 Series was the same as the Limited with the STI kit and wheels. Where the 16 is more stripped down "race ready".

Would make sense why they haven't released any info on standard 2016 models yet.
If I end up paying a premium for effing blue stitched seats, and fake carbon fiber trim - when the exterior color is going to be common - SOA is going to hear from me.

My ETA is Month of October.
Current location is 200003.
Which means it's either in Japan or on a Boat.

They didnt say for sure but the guys I spoke with said "the new blue coming out for next year is going to be very sharp" and "similar to the bright blue on the last body mustangs"

So they could just be referring to the Series Blue or the whole lineup, which from my end it sounded like the whole line up was getting the color.

I'm coming to NC with pitchforks... haha.
I guess I would be getting the frameless mirror and black side mirrors over a standard model...
I seriously feel bamboozled by Subauru marketing interns who decided it would be funny to offer a "limited" edition for the weeks leading up to the 2016 model year lineup.

"Exclusive blue finish"

No mention of "stripped down" or "race ready." It's a cosmetics package. This community is too susceptible to rumors and speculation. If it isn't in a Subaru press release, don't believe it. Certainly never believe what the dealership tells you.

They have. See the second link I posted above. The first two paragraphs of the BRZ portion apply to all BRZs. New 6.2" starlink and a backup cam.

Good point.
Still no reference of available colors or packages/options being changed.
Since having dropped Galaxy Blue Pearl, and Lightning Red on the wrx, the BRZ should at least be getting a new blue or new red.
Pure Red?
Lapis Blue Pearl?
Hyper Blue... ?

Translated using Google translate:

"Improved SUBARU BRZ Fuji Heavy Industries, is subjected to some improvement in SUBARU BRZ, will release on April 16, 2015.

In this improvement, some rigidity improving characteristic change and the vehicle body of the electric power steering, and the steering feel, the multiplier I has been upgraded for the comfort and performance for the driver.

Subjected to decorative satin silver, such as the steering wheel spokes and shift panel, increase the interior texture, volume ??? color, 'Lapis Blue Pearl', the two colors of the 'Pure Red' was the new adaptation.
JDM spec gets Lapis Blue Pearl and Pure Red. It's safe to assume we'll get those colors as well.

That was coming from the salesman I had spoken with at the dealer one town over...the other sales person I spoke with was over the phone... Im not a fan of the Lapris Pearl on the rest of the lineup so if that's the blue their referring to than I'm either going with the Silver Ice or Rally Blue
