That is quite a compelling reason. That might have something to do with the reason I didn't get the faster and more comfortable car.

It is significantly more fun to drive than the Z.

My roommate recently bought a 305z, the thing weighs in at 3,600lbs! I actually had no idea they were that heavy.

He bought it after I had already had my BRZ almost 2 years and for a good while he wouldn't stop talking about how much better his car was, HP/TQ/Etc. It was actually really starting to piss me off, because he isn't much of a gearhead, he loves cars, but doesn't know how to change his own oil and the like. So finally an autocross came up and I invited him. He kept shitting on my car, fantasizing about taking home 1st yada yada. Fortunately we were in the same class and I crushed him by like 8 seconds, partly because he isn't as good a driver, but also because of the time it takes to stop and turn a car that heavy on stock tires/brakes.

Long story short, I would never get a Z after having driven his enough to know that the power aint worth the weight. They do look good though.

...Also, I'm too tall for 350's and I have to drive with my knees in me chest.

Z cars have poor brake performance due to lack of front brake ducts.
I enjoyed the 370z Nismo I test drove, but preferred an E46 M3 in every aspect.

The non-nismo 370/350 are just not special enough, and tons of Dbags drive those around here.

300ZX is also cool, but the V configuration makes it a bitch to work on. Wish it was an inline.

I wouldn't mind a 240z though!

240Z's and 300zx's are my favorite Z cars. A neighbor of mine has a sr20det swapped 240z

Every single 370 (all trims) I have ever seen were driven by old guys (yes old by my standard) and had much younger blondes in the passenger seat. I saw 4 such combos yesterday alone. I drive the FRS at about 40% of it's capacity 95% of the time but doubt those guys even get up that far.
That is why the 370 went off my short list back when I was shopping. Just to much hassle trying to find a hot blonde that I can afford.

My brother had a 370z and let me drive it once. It felt so heavy and sluggish on the highways compared to the 240sx I was driving at the time.

Now I'm imagining Canadian Ned going into a store and saying "One Hot blonde please, neighborino!"

I've met both the guys in my picture and they are both in their late-40s - mid-50s. The youngest guy driving any of the other Z's is in his mid-30s. Definitely not a young d-bag car around here. The 350s on the other hand...

Old people like them because how comfortable, and leather, the interior is and how, apparently, easy getting 1/2-your-age blondes into the seat next to you is.

BTW if they were driving a Z, they couldn't have cost too much. Either that or they had to trade in their 911 and get a Z so they could continue to afford her.

The 4 I saw yesterday were all guys that were at least in their 60s. The women were all no older thatn mid 30s. I even pointed out to my wife that if I had got the Z I was looking at I would have had to trade her in. Needless too say I got smacked.

The 350/370z is the Japanese mustang. It's no surprise there are many of them out there.

Actually at this point there are more 86's in North America than 370Z's, by my count there are just barely 60k 370Z's on the continent (counting from 2009 on, hell include 2008 for ~70k units):
