Waiting to hear back from @OmarYasin but if he doesn't get back to us tonight, I'm not inclined to have an early start. Like I said a casual drive so I may just wake up whenever and see when we want to go then.

Sure thing. FYI, it takes me about an hour and a half to get to livermore so short notice doesn't work for me, lol.

OK no worries. Let's aim for 10AM so @Pwolf has a shot at making it out to join us.

Meet at the Starbucks on Vasco Rd... 10AM

Starbucks
223 S Vasco Rd
Livermore, CA 94551

we will roll out by about 10:15 or 10:30AM. Stop at the Junction, decide whether we want to grab lunch at the Junction or elsewhere, or turn back or continue on to Mt. Hamilton.

So the Livermore side is much better since the last time but now its really bad (A LOT of gravel) from the Junction all the way to Lick Observatory. Otherwise, it was a fun drive! Nice to meet you guys @OmarYasin and @Pwolf!

Yeah I would agree, Junction to Lick is pretty much to be avoided at this point... 1/10. Ridiculous amounts of gravel about 80% of the route which makes it nearly undriveable.

I think that unfortunately that may mean we reconsider where we do the End of Summer meet this year... I had thought that we could have it at the Junction like last year, but for the folks coming up from the San Jose direction it is a complete disaster... I doubt it will improve in time by the end of summer/fall.

Holy shit. Glad to hear that the Livermore side is better but that fucking sucks about the route up to the observatory.

Where the hell is all this gravel coming from???

Looks like they are resurfacing the road like they did with the livermore side.
