New here? Come say hi =)
Hello!
I should've posted a while ago, but I got my new 2015 Raven FRS about 3 weeks ago! It's my first brand new car and I'm hoping to learn more about it and other cars and learn more about cars in general. I've always been interested in working on my own car and doing mods but never really got into it. I decided to buy the FRS after I saw a BRZ on the road, and although I loved the BRZ I like the looks of the FRS, just a personal preference. I went with the stick shift since I felt I would enjoy the car better and I was not wrong! Just gotta learn to drive it better... So far in 3 weeks I'm picking it up just fine... I think. I was lucky enough to go to the 86 Sessions Meet in Tacoma, WA, for the first time last Sunday and it was great to see other owners and share our love for these cars. I'm looking forward to meeting again!! I'm so happy to see my car in the drive way I just wanna drive all the time! Nothing but great experiences so far! |

So, you have a 2013 and put in a touch screen head unit; now if you would put on a shark fin antennae ....... you will have a pre-broken in 2015 ..... At age 43, you have bad knees and hips ..... I would recommend you keep a supply of aspirin, ibuprofen and glucosamine in the glove box. When parking, I suggest you find a spot where you can open the door all the way open. Exit slowly or the door will “grab” your foot and the ground will “jump up” and greet you too soon. If you have any questions about your new car, just ask ...... oh, yes, remind the folks you are a single mom with bad hips, to minimize all the comments like "do a search" or "we have a zillion posts on this" or “RTFM”..... humfrz |

Now, I suggest you read the owners manual ..... no, no, I mean the WHOLE thing..... Does the IE have parking stops ..... ?? If so, they are closer and higher in this car...... BTW, what or where is the "IE" ..... ?? I don't get out much ..... humfrz |

Well, you picked out a fine automobile for your first one. Since this is your first car ..... it really doesn't need much "working on" .... it's pretty darn good, right out of the box (for average driving). You may wish to save up for some "all season" tires for our winters. They will get you through our 2", once a year snowfall. If you feel the need to mod, you may consider an aftermarket muffler (to let some sound out) and a drop in free-er flowing engine air filter (to let it breathe a bit easier). The two together will make it "sound" like you have more power ...... humfrz |

Thanks for the tips! I do have some ideas for exhaust, headlights, tail lights and a few other light changes. You are right the car itself is good right now so just looks while I wear out my warranty then we'll see. Also I got lucky! They gave me all weather tires but I'm still gonna get another set slightly wider and wheels so things are in the works Thank you! - Sousuke |

Same goes for the front license plate. If you want to keep your options open, ask them not to drill or mount the front bracket. Or maybe you already know because you've been a thorough lurker.

Long time member, haven't posted in years but ... finally took the plunge and decided to get one of these !
Raven 2015 Fr-S, because of the amount of lurking I did on the forums I've already gone nuts with the amount of little stuff I want to do to it ... Will probably start with TR-D intake and TRD Rims & Tires. I'll sell the stock tires and put the winter tires on the stock mags. Thats it thats all ! |

Darn, if only I was closer to you, I would take those stock tires off yah in a heartbeat. I'm probably in a minority group of members who don't mind them.
