Anyone upgrade from a C30 to C38 and want to sell their C30? Not wanting to wait on the warranty claim any longer than needed

If you're hearing chatter my guess is the belt is too loose. The tighter I put the belt on the less chatter I heard. So I just tightened the belt to where I heard no chatter. The 21mm rule that they have in the manual didn't work for my second belt. It was wayyy too loose. I went by my friends "half a belt twist rule" and it worked fine. Just tightened a tad bit more and then all chatter disappeared. If I could remember, I believe I'm at 14 or 15mm from the bottom of the bolt head tensioner to the supercharger bracket. Hopefully this helps a few.
Same here...

Used the 21mm rule and was way too loose. I have adjusted it several times tightening each time and chatter would go away then belt would stretch and slightly comes back. Now I'm at 16.144mm, using half twist rule and chatter is gone, and weird swirling noise from charger at idle gone too.

yea bizarre, mine keeps stretching. I don't know if if i'm driving too hard lol. but 16mm. I will try that thank you for sharing your results. This is the stuff that people need to know with these kits.

People were talking about some app to measure the frequency of the belt? Could anyone answer that and what exactly was it called again, and how did you get to measure the sound of the belt, by plucking it like a guitar string?

thanks everyone!

The app is called Gates carbon drive. Haven't had a chance to use it myself. Still waiting on warranty eval.

Mine belt and others I have spoken too say their belts continue to stretch. I honestly think the belt itself could use a bit of an upgrade.

I honestly didn't find the app that helpful... I would get inconsistent readings from the app

I'd be willing to go back to the serpentine belt from the early kits. It makes the supercharger whine louder but maybe it wouldn't stretch and it wouldn't violate rotrex's warranty.

For everybody who owns this kit, how do you like it? Pretty reliable? How many broken belts?

Pretty reliable had 8000km problem free, just the belt takes a little to get to where you need it to be.

The kit is great and customer service is excellent. Really gives the car the power it needed with reliability

No broken belts here after ~8K miles. Just a warranty claim on the SC unit itself

@Freeman

How long did it take to get a reply when you first asked for a warranty claim on the rotrex unit ?
@KraftWerks

Is CJ working this week ? Been two days without any sign.

Thanks
