- That instructor needs to grow a pair and put the driver in his place.
- It's a shame that they let him go that long.
- Driver probably thought he was Jeff Gordon and that people were cheering for him while he was out there.

My theory is that the guy in the passenger seat is the one who put up the video, and that he was a passenger on a bro-day-ride, not an instructor. I mean...there's no way that guy's an instructor.

I wouldn't have stayed in the car that long as his instructor, that's for damn sure!

After watching this video I felt compelled to send it to the guy that runs the HPDE's I attend so I could tell him how much I appreciate all of his hard work.

I really dislike these kind of drivers. The same people who posting up their 'passing montages' of them passing cars on the track like a highlight reel. People like this are way too focused on trying to pass/race other cars on the track that they're a danger to themselves and everyone else around them. It isn't a race, there are no trophies, no one is winning anything. Stop pretending like it is. This kind of mentality is a disease and is one of the reasons why I don't like to go to track days as much any more.

On a related note, the car's PTM saves him in just about every corner possible. He is literally just mashing the gas pedal and pointing the car where he wants to go. 100% dependent upon TC to get around the course without wrecking it. I bet after every session he is thinking about how great he was doing out there.

Also, this car has serious heat problems on track too. It has an incredible performance potential, but it is a one lap wonder before it falls into limp mode. Now that summer has come around, the on track reports from owners are extremely negative. Overheating as quickly as 5 minutes into a session. What a disappointment.

He needs to be moved to the fastest run group so he can drive flat out.

Seriously though, was this one of the common track day organizers putting on this event?

Videos like this are the reason I haven't gone to an HPDE in my Evo yet and have just stuck to drag/autocross for now. Good God that guy terrifies me.

Don't let things like this scare you away. Find a good group that won't put up with that crap and run with them.

There are a couple groups up here with terrible reputations for being an anything goes type of day, but there are also a few that would've black flagged this guy on his 2nd or 3rd lap, and then kicked him out on the second black flag.
