Nobody is going to fault you for getting out of that relationship. I hope your Mustang is not reading this.

Since you can afford to flip cars every year, why not? Worst case you drive a BRZ for a year and move on to the next flavour of the month. I would love to be in your position.

I made the same move, I had a 2012 5.0 mustang and traded it in on a 2013 BRZ. Don't regret it at all. Mustang was a floaty, GT car; sure it was fast but not nimble and I couldn't use all the power on San Diego roads.

I buy a new car on average every year (owned an e46 M3, M-coupe, 135i, GTI, etc.) and have had my BRZ for a year and a half with no signs of changing (that is, until the 4cyl turbo Cayman comes out...).

I'm in the same boat. Considering getting rid of my 2014 Mustang GT for one of these. My car is Paxton Supercharged putting out 638whp and is a blast to drive. I drive it daily. Just thinking I'm ready to tackle another project now, something not as violent if you will.

My biggest worry with the BRZ is living in Florida not having enough windy roads to truly enjoy the car. I stopped by my local dealership the other day and the sales guy wouldn't let me test drive? WTF!? He said, and I quote "you won't like this car because it only has 200hp, since you drive a Mustsng GT."

Major negative experience from the dealership.

That sales guy is an idiot. Find another one and take it out for an hour or two. Even though that's not enough to see if you'll truly like it, its a small taste of what the Twins offer.

If I recall correctly (in this thread or elsewhere), there's a guy who lives in Florida and still loves the car even though it's mostly flat over there. You may have to go out of your way to find some super twisties but it may be worth it. :P http://www.motorcycleroads.com/category.php?id=85

If available down there, rent one for a week.

Wow...

I sell these for a living, I might mention the HP difference but I would also follow up with how special these cars are. You don't need high HP to enjoy them, and I live in a mostly flat, straight area. I like being able to use the full powerband and still be legal

I was in the same position, I'm trading my 2013 wrx for a brz and now i'm just waiting till the brz gets a safety check at the dealership. I feel like I don't use most of the power in the wrx so I'm opting for more usable power in hawaii. I also really like the looks of the BRZ/frs.

Quit trying to out think the engineers and just drive the car.
