No surprise, but I like it in Red...

My problem is that by the time I outfitted the Camaro the way I would want it I would be at or above base C7 Corvette costs, particularly if I bought the C7 used. With that, and no longer needing the back seat, I'd have to go with the Vette.

The V6 gets bumped to 335hp. These hp wars are getting insane
At least we get a bump of 8hp...

I couldn't even fit in my buddy's C7.

I turn to the Camaro because I can move the seat back far enough to allow leg room. What's crazy is they are moving the Camaro into those upper brackets now where when you buy one, there's not too much left to mod. Just wait till 40k gets you 500 hp.

Wow, Autoblog is claiming there's a 300 lb weight loss on the V6 Camaro. That put's the v6 down to 3400 lb range (the v6 is 200 lb lighter at 3700). http://www.autoblog.com/2015/05/17/2...e-first-drive/

The turbo 4 ats is about 100 lbs lighter than the v6, so there's a hope for a 3300 lb Camaro? That'd be pretty damn impressive, same as a 2 Series! Can't wait to see the official numbers.

That is definitely one sexy-as-hell Camaro. And I'm sure the LT1 will sound obscenely awesome.

To me, the V6 Camaro was always recognized as the slower one. To say a V6 has 330 hp is scary. That's how much HP my 2002 LS1 V8 Camaro had. Technology has come so far. That's going to be a very nice affordable V6 platform.

I'm sure it's going to be fast, but this pictures sums up why I wouldn't buy one.

It fixes the problem with gen 5. Too big. Just not very different looks wise, but everything else is new.

I think it looks better, but man, those are tiny windows. They weren't exactly large to begin with on the older models.

There's a 2014 SS downstairs, and its gorgeous, I just hated the visibility when I drove one.

Yeah, I will have to wait and see what it looks like in person, but the initial interview about the car made me a little worried with visibility.

Quote:
Q : Why didn’t you fix the rearward visibility for the next-gen ? That was the single biggest complaint for the Gen 5.

A: We talked to many Gen 5 customers about the visibility, and they made it clear they were not willing to accept changing the appearance of the Camaro’s iconic silhouette for the sake or rear visibility. We are using increased levels of technology to help with visibility, including a standard back up camera on all models, and available rear sonar.
