The SEB is proud to announce Solo's newest category, SoloStanced. Bringing Solo's historically strong autocross program to a new market of enthusiasts, SoloStanced ushers in a focus not just on competition, but on the style and panache so important to the latest generation of gearheads.
SoloStanced competitors will make an autocross run, just like every other Solo competitor. However once crossing the lights, competitors will stop in a judging area, where a score will be assessed taking into account the following elements of vehicle preparation:
The Solo Scraper score is up first, with a score determined by 10 minus the distance from the ground to the lowest part of the body in inches, after the competitor has navigated over the event's scales. Inability to navigate over the scales will result in a DNF for that run. (Organizers are reminded to ensure that the scale ramps are fixed to the pavement to prevent movement.)

The Solo Super Stretch score is calculated next, determined by subtracting the tire's stated tread width from the width of the wheel in inches. Note that tires are required to have higher than ambiant air pressure when the score is assigned, or a DNF is scored.

The last objective measurements is the Solo Angle of Dangle. A camber measurement is taken on all four wheels in degrees, then averaged to determine the result. If any rim has so much negative camber that it contacts the ground instead of the tire's rubber, a 2 degree bonus will be applied.
The final step is the subjective measurement area. The SoloStanced competitor will pull into the judging box, and the Solo Tightness score will be determined. The judges that determine the score will be all the other competitors at the event, divided into two groups. The first group will be all entrants under the age of thirty, with the second group being everyone else. Everyone in each group will assign a score from 1 to 10, with 1 indicating the least approval and 10 indicating the most approval. The Solo Tightness score will then be calculated by taking the average score from the under 30 group and subtracting the average score from the 30 and over group.

Once the judging part of the run is complete, the SoloStanced competitor will drive back to their grid spot where they will receive their total score, which is the run time, minus the Solo Scraper, Solo Super Stretch, Solo Angle of Dangle, and Solo Tightness scores. The lowest run score of the day wins.
The SEB is extremely exicted to be able to provide our newest target market of motorsport enthusiast with this opportunity. The first class offered in the new category will be for cars of Asian origin, A SoloStanced, and the class will enjoy full national status immediately upon publication of this release. Make it Easy, Make it Fun, MAKE IT SOLO STANCED!

This is great. Now the stance kids have no excuse for not showing up. Glad the SEB put in the effort into making this happen.

Bah! They need to give points for turning the undercarriage of the car into pretty sparks on the pavement (bonus of course for the biggest gouges in the pavement)!

Also they need to give points for how little time it takes to spin the car! Whats the point of turning a normal width tire into a centimeter of contact patch if you aren't spinning out all the time!
