I think the FT will come in slightly less than 2600. It will be around the NC(current gen) MX5 weight. Please bear in mind I plan on getting my FT as plain as possible. That means manual everything.

I guess you're planning on tracking yours then?

Is this car around a Miata's size? If so, I could definitely see it weighing about the same and hopefully not much more. If this thing can weigh and drive about the same as a Miata then we got a hit

The lowest three choices are below Toyota's 2650lb target. I hope they get it, but I voted 2700-2799 since it's common to overshoot in cars like this.

I don't have canyons, but I have mountain runs, and plenty of them.

Mt Akina, anyone?

Same here!

Keep it light with wide wheels and tires. No rubber band 17x7 or 18x7s please...

Its my opinion that the old saying "There's no replacement for displacement" is misleading.

More power can get you to go faster in a straight line.

Less weight can make you go faster in a straight line and faster in corners, and makes the overall feel the car more personal because it reacts more smoothly to your imput.

Weight > power in importance.

Agreed!!!

adding power is easy, adding lightness is not.
