props on not feeding everybody by retaliating to the name calling. i respect your position and if you're truly selling it for the betterment of your family i don't see how anybody can fault you. other than the fact that you have the car they want ::

it just doesn't make sense to me, that a family member needs help but you go buy a $28K car.

i call it slight bs. dont use excuses like that. i think you could have thought of some better excuses
Preach on brother!

I have worked 70 to 80 hours or more a week for the last 6 months just so I can save up enough buy this car. The icing on the cake is that I am also taking 2 upper division college classes this semester, so you will not get any sympathy from me. But if I found out that someone close to me needed help I would not tempt myself by going near a car dealership. I would help them first that go back to getting the car

If you can't handle it, sell it back to the dealer or trade it in for something else?

So enough is enough, leave OP alone. If not Guff and Ichi will find you and make you dance DDR till your appendix blows up internally

Yes because I decide on the amount of my annual charitable donations through snap purchases of big ticket consumer items, which I then try and flip for a huge profit.

I have to say the SPCA and Cancer Society would just prefer getting the same sized cheque every year, but thats how I roll

I already have my mum in a 3rd rate old-age pensioner appartment due to my belief in that the Blackberry Playbook was a game changer... who knew buying 500 of them wouldn't pan out

Not rude at all and no apology necessary, it's a legit question. I was actually really uncertain when I was going through the buying process (pit stains something fierce), but I knew it was a very rare opportunity and had read such great reviews that I figured I had to go for it. I actually called a couple people (ex-coaches, mentors, dad, etc.) to see what they thought and they all seemed cautiously for it as long as I could personally shoulder it financially. They don't expect me to contribute money to my family's situation, but that doesn't mean that I shouldn't or can't. And it's not until you add the additional responsibilities does the purchase seem dumb and selfish. And was it? Probably. Especially since I didn't intend on selling it. But it was my decision and I went with it.

Thank you for at least asking an honest question and not making me feel like a piece of sh!t about all this.

infamous now it seems haha I don't really care that you are selling the car to make a profit (smart move) but the bleeding heart for us story was a tad much

good luck with sale tho hopefully the car's next owner will actually want to keep it

Again, it is not what you did but how you did it. If you said something like, "hey, high pressure sales situation and I got in over my head, I have to get out of the car without losing me my ass, yadda yadda..." You would not have gotten anywhere near the negative feedback that you did. But instead, you went at it differently and it rubbed some the wrong way. (Your original post, then your eBay ad, should not really be all that mind blowing.) That is fine, it is your prerogative, but don't be surprise when the enthusiast forum which you now frequent gets a bit uppity about it.

All that said, everyone here hopes that whatever your family situation is, which you likely should have considered BEFORE you committed your self to a new car payment, works out for the best and that they are all okay. And I do mean that sincerely.

I have bought and sold a ton of things on ebay. and I strongly suggest that you lower the starting bid if you are really needing cash. Lower the starting price to about 25k.I am sure there will be enough bidders in the next 6 days.that you wont come out losing money on the whole ordeal. Just a suggestion

Exclamation

Who cares? It's his car and he can do whatever the F he wants to do with it.

Who hasn't made an impulsive decision without thinking it through?

Or maybe he did think it through and decided he wanted a more expensive car so he is deciding to market this car based on it's first 86 status.

It's also okay to buy it then sell it for more. Who are we supposed to be pissed at? A consumer like us or a dealership selling above MSRP?

Hell. If I could make money flipping cars I would totally do it. This is America.

NO! I want my car now dammit! Anyone willing to sell this car when so many of us don't have it yet is clearly a poop face, un-American, etc...
