Does the boomerang now not come on with Parking lights/Low Beams since the Live parking wire is now empty?

Nice thread. I'm about to do this with GTS headlights into my GT.

Can I ask feedback from the guys who have done this to comment on how the wire gauge of the GT/FR-S hold up with the increased power draw of BRZ/GTS HID headlights?

I know that GTS/BRZ have thicker wire gauge for the main headlight circuit

The only thing I noticed on mine is that the RPMs will dip down for a second but they go right back up. Other than that no issues.

Thanks that's good feedback. How long have you run the setup. And did you use the repin method? Seems easiest

Mmmm headlights have been on for roughly a year and I just bought some plug and play harnesses from a member on here. So there was no repining required.

The BRZ headlights have motors which allow them to be adjusted up and down (which is included on the BRZ). I added the leveling dial switch to my FRS, so that now I can adjust my BRZ headlights up and down. DIY is here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...79#post2199779

Another option is to buy the 90980-10897 plus which will mate up the stock plug on the brz light. $25 is what I payed but there are cheaper places to get them.

I also moved the indicator light wire to the brz plug by de-pining it and routing it back up to the headlight here is the finished product..

Passenger light plug

Driver side plug

Resurrecting an old but good post.

The LED headlamp system on the new 2017-2020 headlights are wired exactly the same way on the 8 pin harness on the Toyota 86, as Scion Limited, and HID Headlight models, aside from the turn signal wire in the missing pin of the OEM harness. HID high reflector actuator ground is missing but the LED unit will function fine as that is shared with the headlight ground on the LED lamp system.
