I went to adjust the activation switch with the OFT. I pushed on the accelerator and the first click went off at 72%. So it was set up perfect right out of the box.
I noticed something peculiar after I finished the install. I had the hood open with the engine running to look, listen and smell for anything unusual. I kept hearing this clicking sound. I thought oh no I did something wrong. Then I noticed the sound was coming from the air conditioning compressor turning on and off. So I went to turn the AC off but it was already off. So now I'm thinking oh crap now I need to get the AC fixed. But I noticed the climate control knob was set to defrost. Well apparently on this car whenever you're in defrost mode it pulses the AC on and off. Used to be if I had the defrost on I would also turn on the AC also because it works so much more efficiently that way. So Toyota decided to do it automatically for you. I've had the car for well over a year now and it still surprises me from time to time.

Pretty common nowadays. Surprised me first time I encountered it in a car too. In my day, you had to press the AC button. That's how it was and that's how we liked it.

Noticed this as well. Definitely thought my car had problems before because of the AC motor.

Last night was an excellent test for the Odyssey because it got down to 5 degrees F. Went out this morning and the PC680 started the car up strong.

Thanks for the assistance Sojhinn and everyone else who contributed.

If you emailed him on the site, then you're on the list.

ok but can we see that list and the ones that are on that list are they only gonna get the unit after those that are on the list here on the forum??( if so the ones that ordered from the web site will have to wait 2-3 years?) or hes sending 5 on the forum list then the next 5 on the web site list???

Lot of people asked for a list but if that list is only partial since there is another one from the web site, well that list isn't worth a lot right?

I would assume it all goes by when he was contacted. The method in which it was done should be irrelevant. As for seeing the list, I have no idea. That is all up to Rob.

also keep in mind that he is/was working with shiv to produce kits for the miata community, and the available parts might be split up between them.

so this mean the list we see here doesn't represent the reality! because there must be a list for the miata club one for the site and one for here!!

Dont want to bother anyone with that but still we could have a real list to at least have an idea!! We all know there is a lot of waiting time but when you show the list as stated before with 53 people on it but in reallity he may have 70 on his site and 40 on the miata site it changes a bit from the 53 people you you see here!!

Anyways doesn't seems to bother anyone here so...

Guys, unless you know for a fact what exact hardware is being used in the Miata kits AND if that allocation even would effect expedition of the"Gen 2" kits Rob has most recently shipped, I'd hold off jumping to any conclusions.

I wouldn't say it doesn't bother me. Only that putting out production units does not seem to be a priority at this point in time. I wish everyone who wanted one could get one asap, but most of those who have them are more like beta testers than consumers. IMO Rob has his priorities aimed at support and innovation. Also from my understanding, the Phantom is a side project from his normal business/time interests. I too, would like to see a more transparent order/inventory system, but that would take resources that are being utilized elsewhere. I don't even know if the outstanding orders are waiting on parts or are held back for updates/improvements. I personally would like to know if the new lighter compressor wheels have the same lead time as the original. If so then those of us that want to get an upgrade to the newer version, may have to get in the back of the line, plus pay a publicly unreleased sum just to catch up to the current kit. Look at it this way, since Rob released the first versions, the Phantom has evolved to include: Drag reduction; Ignition controlled on/off; More aesthetic display; 1.5 dump pack upgrade; optional alt charger; 1.5 dump obsolete-new 1.0B dump pack upgrade; modular dual position switch/display/harness; compressor wheel upgrade; Drag reduction obsolete-two stage boost control. And that's just what I know about. If you are still interested by the time it becomes available to you, then you will receive a much higher performance, more streamlined, and less expensive product then the rest of us. Not knowing your place in line sucks, and locks you into having the funds constantly available, and also stops you from taking other upgrade options, but that is just the nature of the current product.

true, that's why I said: the available parts might be split up between them, but there in lies Cyphers' problem. We just don't know.

Great post - I personally applaud Rob's approach, the majority of consumer products products today are rushed to the market without being fully vetted.
