My guess is that Greddy contracted with a manufacturer in China to make their turbo kits and that manufacturer is now selling Greddy's intellectual property under a different name. It's common practice in China.

Only complaints I have seen are from owners butthurt that other people don't want to buy a cheap knock off turbo kit. But that's none of my business.

I don't believe there has been any claims that the SBD turbo kit is going to blow up your fa20.

But, the issue is "is it really not a knock off of the Greddy kit?". Which the majority of people, from my exposure on the topic, seem to agree that it is. SBD of course denies all claims and accusations.

Patent/copywright/intellectual property laws in China aren't anything like they are in North America.

Want proof, look at all the 100% direct copies of RC vehicles done by Chinese companies. Lots are even advertised as being 100% compatible with the originals.

It has been happening for years, and unfortunately there's no laws protecting the original companies.

Can you quote these complaints that you are referring to?
I don't recall reading about any owners complaining .
I for one don't give a rats ass about what you want to buy or not. I'm not sure if you're in the same boat or not but there sure seem to be a lot of butthurt from people.
It's like we're the red headed step child on this forum or something just because we decided to go with sbd.

You are the one that bumped a thread talking about why an SBD thread was deleted to call us all butthurt. If you like your kit, that is great, and feel free to start a new thread and tell us all the details of why you love the kit. Show us some dyno results, show us some 1/4 mile results, or better yet show us some lap times. Heck I would settle for some datalogs showing how great your OFT tune from Shiv is running, but just coming in to say that all the owners think it is great and everyone else that hates on it is butthurt doesn't provide any useful information.

I did not bump a thread, it was ongoing. You need to look at the post date in the post before mine's, pretty easy to see that I did not bump

If we want to get technical, any post that moves a thread from not at the top to the top is a bump, but you are right that @Fast_Freddy bumped it more to share his knowledge of China.
