WTB: Fiberglass GT Wing
I am looking for a cheap ~69" GT Wing. I do not need uprights as I am trying to design my own. I cannot do ABS, but do not care about the extra few lbs saved from carbon fiber. I feel like this should be attainable for under $200.
If you know of a supplier I am willing to make some calls. Searching on the web produces a lot of crap and spoilers. I can find some random used ones of Ebay from time to time but do not trust the posts. Thanks. |

I designed it in Solidworks, getting the foam and aluminum precision cut. Fiberglass will be done by a work vendor I know. I'll post pictures in an appropriate forum when I start building it.

@khan, @OmarGC
I thought I should give you an update. After totaling up the costs to make a wing I realized it will cost approximately $450 to do it right. The following links pretty much sums up the manufacturing and the costs associated with making one yourself. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...-many-pix.html http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/sh...highlight=wing Due to this I am going to see if I can buy Nascar Car of Tommorow (COT) wing on ebay, craiglist, or anywhere really. If that doesn't pan out before I finish my suspension project I will continue with my own construction. |
