yeah I noticed that and I could manually change it by that much too I just didn't knowing I should go ahead and do that

Best check with shiv on what he thinks.

That tune has had the maf scaling manipulated a bit i think to accommodate variations in E% from E60 to E90 so you need to be carefull if you adjust it.

In Oz we have a pump E85 thats guaranteed 85% ethanol , so I have rescaled my maf scaling on E85 tune to use this particular fuel. I now run fuel trims of 1 or 2% over entire rpm range and use that brand E85 all the time. Leaned out the lower rpm/load cruise area a bit to get a bit better economy and my afr follows the OL fuel tables nicely now. But I have the consistent E85 mix to use.

I have been using these cold start cranking values for a while and had very good results, at least here in the very moderate Northern California. Always starts on the first crank for me. Some of the tables in this shot I believe are unchanged from the 2.06 E85 map but I include them for completeness.

these values were developed by @Malt and then further tweaked by @mkivsoopra so this is not my work, but since I have had good results with these I thought I would share.

as this method doesn't use a flex fuel kit, how would we know how much ethanol is in each fill up? are we to monitor the LTFT values and adjust by adding regular gas? or do we just take it easy for a few miles as mentioned and hope the quality of the ethanol is too large a range?

EDIT: also, are there any differences from buying the OFT directly from Vishnu or from FT86speedfactory aside from earning the "OFT dollars"? Since i'm in CA, buying from FT86SpeedFactory would save me about $60 in shipping and taxes and I wouldn't plan on a header as I'd like the car to not get any louder.

read shiv's post here its linked in first post of this thread. basicly the inbuilt fuel trim compensation in the ecu will adjust for variations in pump E85 content

second question don't know but pretty sure local shipping of oft from openflash by USPS is only $60 instead of courier.

Also. My ST hasn't been past 5% not LT been past 3% for last 15 miles. But both peg negative values.

Am I safe yet

once your ltft is below 10% throughtout the rpm range your good to go, if you folowed proceedure in first post its very quick.

stft will vary a lot with throttle application thats normal.

Need to recalibrate butt dyno :-)

E85 adds more power and torque throught rpm range and smooths power delivery through torque dip, so you dont feel the surge at 5000 as much. find a mate on petrol and test against that.
