Well I went to Subaru Newcastle today to see the new BRZ
Sneaked out of work and had a look for an hour And yes it's better then the photos on the web As stunner Yes it's low and wide too so tight parking will be fun with it Driving position is superb Equipment levels are very high Folding heated mirrors Start button Heated seats front led lights looked great Nice neat rear spoiler Very supportive and plush seats although could be tight if your er ..fat Nice red stitching Slighter softer feel plastics then the new hatch Wheels look good and will be easy to keep clean Lovely burble from the twin exhaust Trim very good quality Rear seats fold perfectly flat so 4ft loading bay And yes with the misses in driving position I could sit in the back seat for very short journeys Headroom adequate for my 6ft height Plenty of adjustment for seats I could not fault it and not even driven it yet And the price either 25k or 26.5k with metallic and higher trim It's the future of Subaru and my ideal midlife crises car as I approach the magic 50 half the price of a Porsche cayman/ boxster 300 only coming into the uk and there won't be any free stock so you need to order it as a special you might be lucky for this year but more likely for next year San remo red white ,grey ,silver and of course the wr blue Subaru have a winner with this car just it's so much different to what we are used to Could to fault it Delivery on wr blue or maybe silver might be this year if your lucky __________________ The NBO Chairman (for all my sins ,please forgive me) |

hmm, thats a bit disappointing. Theres not much buzz about the car here in the UK than they have over there in America. I'm tempted to go to my local toyota dealership tomorrow and ask them.

Getting bored of waiting.. Now been told it could possibly be August before it arrives (ordered dec) .. Ffs.
Anyone else heard anything on their order? Edit to add.. I wouldnt mind so much, but seeing all the US threads with their cars already is really annoying.. |

I'd best say HI! I'm also a UK'er and reading everything the US dudes have to say is driving me wild waiting for mine...
I have put an order down, dealership said 25th June for the insurance group release date (that will be time to start ringing around for a quote...), but they did get me free tickets to the Moving Motor Show at Goodwood so I could be "one of the first people in the UK" to view the car... Still no delivery date for my car but apparently as I have put a deposit down I get first dibs on a drive in their demonstrator which is scheduled to arrive on the 9th July... |
