Was running 7.8 psi on sat but decided to bump it down to WG spring pressure (6 psi) on Sunday (this is what @CSG Mike drove) in order to preserve brakes and be more confident and predictable with the throttle:



Contrary to what most people thought, my use of E40-E50 at the track was not for big power but for consistency of power output, preservation and extra cooling of the cylinders.

Sounds like you are going to have a very stable setup for extended lapping and consistency. Post back updates on temps vs pressures when you start pushing harder in the heat.

The 25 row series 9 setrab is double the volume of the Perrin 13 row series 6. I suspect it is doing a very good job of removing heat from the oil, which in turn is preventing a lot heat from entering the coolant system.

I am on stock radiator. @mkivsoopra who has a koyo radiator and the same 25 row who was running 3(?) more psi and ~50(?) more whp than me saw the same temps.

I tested oil pressure on track. 60-75 psi at redline depending on how warm the oil was (max of 210ish). @Dezoris

Still need to test it next summer in 100 deg temps.

Yes lol. These thermostats don't shut completely. Currently I am taping up some of the rows with gorilla tape but will be looking into a more permanent solution like manual valve in the oil cooler hose to stop flow completely when I want or as mike suggested a forester XT oil cooler on top of what I have.

Keep in mind you're reading temps post-cooler; at lower RPMs, you're not moving as much oil through the system, so you see super low temps, but inside the engine, it's not going to be super cold... but there's no way to see it.

Has anyone tried the kit with a smaller turbo like a GTX2867R yet? I'm assuming it would bolt right up if you using a Tial v-band turbine housing?

I asked about it with PTUNING and they said something about having to redesign a new mount from the transmission because of the smaller turbo.
