Cool. Nothing like that here but I'll look for the equivalent at home depot. Otherwise I'll end up on the interwebs

Hey guys, I did not make it out to the track last night due to a few different factors. We'll just have to do it next week.

In the meantime, here are the pictures requested for the airflow modifications:

The cutout is on my to-do list when I put in the cooler. Just used a dremmel?
@nlowell
I'd also love to know the filter that you used

Yes, a Dremel with an endmill attachment. We are going to setup a special attachment so that we can get cleaner cuts. That way, it would look like it came that way from the factory.

This was the same (or very similar) filter that Kraftwerks sent in their kit so I figured if its working there...

Awesome. Looking at either that or a remote mount version. That way I could swap filters more easily

Oh yes, yes of course. A filter!

I love the idea, however would adding a radiator, some sort of bypass valve, and a filter lower pressures too much or does it really not have that much of an impact?

I don't really know much about hydraulics outside of firehose.

I am really interested in the capability of adequately cooling the transmission and being able to filter the fluid as well.

Just completed my first session at buttonwillow - 75 degrees ambient (still early) - pushing the car pretty hard and the temps held mostly steady ~210-215 but I had a peak of 239. The cooler is definitely working. The true test will be when it gets 100 degrees in the afternoon...

Automatic Transmission Fluid Cooler. ??

Second run - 25 minutes - 90 degrees - bested my laptime by 7 seconds (still lots to go). Engine oil temp hit 245, transmission temp was 215 half way through and 230 at the end. I'm happy with that. A little worried about oil temp and that is with a decent cooler.

Size: 199.2 KBwell, I'm an idiot. I was so used to air line splices I didn't think twice when installing the ATF cooler. It melted a hole right in the fitting. Luckily the race shop here had a metal fitting and I brought my fluid pump and a quart of fluid. I might have lost a little more than a quart but I'm hoping it'll be fine until I get home and drop the pan for my new valve body upgrade.

Don't do what I did kids *roll eyes*
