LOL, they should have given the BRZ a second lead for every $1000 less it cost than the GTR

Lol, I wasn'treally trying to race the gtr. I was taking my time finding the right foot placement for a better 60ft time when the light turned green. I think I got a pretty decent 1/4 despite the 60ft

Do you have the actual time slip? This is something I've always wanted to try but am not allowed to do...

It's spectacularly hard on the car when you're going for low times on a grippy surface...

I bet 60' and 1/4mi times won't be that great with just a JRSC kit..but I too am curious in what it would be.

Obviously the 86 was never designed to have high grip levels for drag. A good example is Crawford's 480hp 550tq brz...all that power and it can't put it down for quick drag takeoffs, and can only muster 4.4sec 60' and high 12sec 1/4mi. Which is pretty pathetic if you think about it for having half a thousand hp in a little car honestly lol.

But it's okay..it's not a bbq cornfed chicken fried discovery channel drag car. If you want that, and a quick 60' 1/4mi drag car, get a camaro, mustang or even a gtr lol ;P

While some people live a quarter mile at a time, that's something that we don't really spend a significant time on. Car preservation, reliability, safety, and balanced performance will reign for constant enjoyment on the racetrack and on the street. It is fun playing with cars that have quite a bit of horsepower. You'll be surprised at how well it fairs against others in a straight line.

However...if budget isn't an issue, then there are many things you can do...

I definitly agree with the reliability part. I been through 2 clutches already and on am on my third clutch. I dont plan on going back to the strip, its costing me too much money

That slip is actually pretty dang impressive! Low 13s, wow. Idk if that's a 60' time since it looks too quick. Those times are as good as and better than many stock <$40k sportscars I believe.

Was this with JRSC on stock engine?

What mods, exh, bolt ons and tune do you have?
