A year apart. So much has changed! Can't wait to see what it will look like next year.

This is such an awesome build. Have you given any thoughts to painting the hood to match the car but leaving some exposed carbon accents?

Haha this has been quite the controvery over the hood. When I first bought it I was going to paint it and leave some CF accents. But when I installed it I absolutely loved the CF I didn't want to paint it. It's still an option, but right now it's going to stay.

Looking at my last three races, I started 102/102 (100%), then jumped up to 74/79 (93.67%), and then last weekend I came in at 38/80 (47.5%)! Really happy with my improvements, hoping to get into top 25 soon!

Car is ok! Mud guard got torn a bit and the liner is a bit rough. It's not on for now, but I'll make it work.

SO - 86Expo was much much more successful than I was hoping. It was amazing to be able to staff such an event and I hope we have similar events down the road. Day One we had about 35 twins and a few others at the autocross in VA Beach, VA. I know we had a lot of first-timers and I hope they had a good time, maybe something they can really get into. I came in 6/28 in my class and I'm pretty happy with that. I never really reached the limit of my car (I only was able to do six runs before I had to head back to DC), solid car.

It was great to meet a lot of you on here that I've interacted with on many occasions, yes we are all real people!

Day two in Manassas was great, we had roughly 140+ cars show up from Ontario to Florida. We ran out of space at the venue and had to plan for overflow parking! I hope everyone enjoyed the event. We had a guy from Jersey who actually wrecked on the way to Day One and STILL autocrossed!

Since this is my car journal, I will only post photos of my car, but there are a few threads including a photo thread for the entire event.

By the way, I didn't take any of these pictures, so credit to those who did.

Recently I noticed a pretty rough sound coming from my pulleys. They seemed to be working fine, but possibly one of the idler pulleys had a bad bearing. Also, my metal pulley covers came off of their housings and the serpentine belt ended up rubbing against them. The belt became damaged, but still worked like it needed to. ANYWAY, I replaced the belt today with a much stronger build and yesterday I installed the updated @Raceseng Water Pulley. I'll keep an eye on the others over the next few days but as of now the problem has been solved.

In other news, as soon as I fixed the pulleys/belt, the crickets started for the first time. Not sure if it's simply coincidence or something I did in the process of fixing the pulleys, but they certainly are there. I didn't notice them today, I'm not sure if it comes and goes, but so is life.

Just hit 36k miles today as well.
