BRZ/FRS problems...

I've run into some issues, but everything has been fixed by the dealership without question.

Things I have run into are:

- Rubber dash coming up
- Clutch pedal squeak
- Fuel Pump chirp (I've nearly forgotten about it but it's still there)
- Minor door rattles (Those went away when I upgraded my system to OEM Audio+)

Everything else has been awesome! I love driving my car. Hell, even if I'm not driving it then I still love looking at it! It's a beautiful machine and I consider myself very fortunate to be in love with the car I drive.

If you never take your car to the dealer, how can they fix it?

No major issues here, just rolled over 32k miles.

Issues I have encounted:

• Crickets (Normal for the car, I don't notice them anymore)
• Window Gaskets rolling over on themselves
• Various Rattles from the interior (Get a louder exhaust :P/Crank Music. One day I will fix some)
• The AutoDimming/HomeLink mirror has a terrible mounting bracket that can cause it to fall off if you don't use locktite
• Idle sometimes dips and engine shutters when coming to a stop (Tune helped quite a bit)
• Carpet Floor Mats easily wear through (Replaced under warranty they started wearing out again. I replaced with WeatherTech. Much better now)
• The biggest issue is I can't stop smiling while driving it....

I took it to the dealer twice for the "free" maintenance. The 2nd time they made a huge mess of things and neither they nor corporate had any response when I commented about it. It's hard to trust them with my baby with that kind of activity.

Plus, how can they fix things that are design problems? Unless the design is changed, the issue will just happen again. Rusty window pillars are from the rubber molding rubbing on the pillar. New pillars will be rust free until that rubbing happens again. Taillights have NO factory fix. Crickets are "normal".

I've had my car for two years. Only issues:

- CEL early on (fixed with TSB reflash)
- Crickets (doesn't really bother me)
- Occasional rattles from rear (doesn't really bother me, better than my other cars)

I haven't had the tail light condensation or door seal issues that others have, but my car is almost always garage-parked which might help.

Great car, don't let the small things bother you. Just be aware from a NVH perspective, there is a bit more road and wind noise than most cars.
