I have one, in about 10 crates, that's been in storage for the past 25 years. If you're inclined to take on a major project, PM me for details but shipping will be obscenely priced since it's located in a (nice) barn in Nantucket. Coincidentally, just today I felt like a run up Larch Mtn. (14 miles from sea level to 4,000' ft.) and what should appear in front of me but a 348 GTS. He was good, stayed between the lines as I did, but I wound up gaining on him through the twisty bits. The difference is that he was smoking heavily at the summit while I was adjusting the climate control going maybe 80%. Anyway, the cars under serious consideration now are either a Cayman GTS or C7 Z51, but will have to drive both before deciding and my local dealers are sold out for now. |

Who knows what will be available and affordable when it is time to trade up.
I'd love to have a boxster or cayman, but would be interested if the new C7 Vette comes down in the used market to be affordable... Now, if this new Supra ever comes out, that may be a great logical upgrade... We'll see. |

No Ferraris or Lambos for me. If money didn't matter I would own:
The following S-chassis in white: S13 Hatch_Convertible_Coupe S14 zenki_kouki - one would have an LS S15 A R32 Skyline _ AE86 Trueno _ A few choice subies and evos for rally _ FRS for the street _ a BRZ for the track _ 1972 Nissan Skyline _ AW20 MRS turbo _ Datsun 720 Pickup _ Acura NSX _ FC3S Turbo II I'm sure I'm missing a few but you get the idea. I love Jap cars and I want a lot of them. Most of them are obtainable with my current salary. I grew up with nothing so most of these are the cars I envied as a kid.

I am a current Ferrari owner and bought the FR-S as a commuter car (3rd car) to have fun on the back-roads along with the Ferrari. There is nothing that I have driven that compares to the sound and handling of the F355. The FR-S does a great job keep up and sometimes leading the car club drives. Both cars have their charms. After adding headers, TRD intake and OFT, the car is transformed and is much more fun to drive with the other higher spec sports cars.

But the Miura should be like the Pantera-- there's no weight over the front tires so you don't need PS. |

I saw one driving south from Monterey on the 1 while I has heading north. It was during the pebble beach car show, but still a good 50 miles out of Monterey. I gawped at it, tried convincing myself I hadn't seen it, but it was definitely a Miura. No time to take a picture as we passed each other, no way to flip a u-turn. That's the only one I've seen.

The pre-flat crank cars sound good too-- (Actually I like it better.) Here's a video from inside a Dino 246 [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5wNE0000ok"]Ferrari 246 Dino drive w French enthusiast - YouTube[/ame] Actually I'm not super happy with the sound of the FR-S above 5K-- it sounds pretty thrashy. Do aftermarket exhausts make it sound better? |
