too many distracted people nowadays - texting, talking on the phone, not paying attention. look around at all the people looking down, rather than up, even while driving. i'm starting to give people a beep if they take abnormally long to take their foot off the brakes after the light turns green.
i myself wait a second or so before taking off at a light, just in case someone runs a red coming from the left.

Your gf is bullshitting you. They do that shit in Philly; people in Boston don't use their turn signals. Tell her to get her stereotypes right.

If I'm first at a light and the guy next to me is inching up every few seconds, despite knowing the light is long, I make a good point of flying past that guy as soon as the light turns green. It's funny, these people seem impatient as all hell to get somewhere, but when the light goes green they go literally nowhere.

I wish that Google maps voice commands was better so I could drive without ever looking at my phone for anything. I don't text and drive but I do look at the navigation app sometimes
I want to try a HUD like the pioneer navgate unit some day.

In Florida it was because we were afraid the blue hair in front of us fell asleep, or worse. Problem is, the honk startled them, and the next thing you know they were parked in a pool, or a convenience store.

NC is much more laid back.

HAHAHAHA

I AM SOOOOOOOOO HAPPY i dont have to travel to FL for work anymore. Last week i was in FL for 3 day's for business and i wanted to strangle myself with my shoe lace. Now, since we've hired a new person to cover that area, i no longer have to travel there, just PA & DE, both which have amazing open roads.

Now, in regards to NC, i have gotten so used to the local law of having semi's on the right lane that i get unbelievably irritated that this law isn't everywhere.

The biggest thing that confused me when we moved to NC, was at a light, when you meet someone turning left (coming at you), the light turns, and they just go cut across in front of you, with a wave of "thanks". Is that some unwritten rule here?

Also, people slowing, and waving me out into traffic, and I mean waving with ALL of their fingers. WTF?

19 years in FL, so I can fall right back into the swing when we go back, but I'm always glad to leave it behind. NC is so much more like IA, where I grew up.

Lol, i moved here from AZ. Getting used to the southern hospitality was half the battle of living here.

as someone who moved down here from NY, the lack of urgency while driving still bugs the hell out of me. and then we get people who drive as if they're the only ones on the road
