Opinions please? Sti kit on frs

What do you guys think of sti side skirts and back on the scion frs? I really like the kit but do you think it would be silly to put sti on an frs? I wish I can put the front lip but I'd have to change up the front bumper. So just the side skirts and back. Thoughts please?

I just did this actually worked out really well and looks awesome. The only people that will know it's an STi kit are BRZ/FRS owners.

As for the front lip, the one I have worked well, but there are better options out there that come up a bit by the wheel well that match better.

Sorry I don't have a better picture, I've been waiting to clean her before doing a shoot.

Wow, looks nice! Which lip is that? And can I see pics from the side and rear?

I was thinking about doing this to my FRS as well. Such as STI side skirts, the rear bumper splats, and something similar to the STI front lip.

Would it be silly? Why would it be at all? It IS built by subaru afterall.

I don't really think it could be warranted as "silly". Front bumper aside and a few cosmetic differences, these cars are identical and you're still buying factory parts. If it looks good it looks good. Only people that would care are the uptight purists with sticks up their asses.

Is it worth having a Subaru dealer install the kit on an FRS and possibly warranty the work?

Just don't post this question on the BRZ side of the forum and you should be fine

They would probably flip out on you and tell you you should have bought a BRZ lmao

No. The labor is like 100 an hour. There is no warranty really for the work. This is something that even a basic body shop or yourself can do.

I find it funny when Scion/Toyota people put Subaru parts on and think it will be silly because of what the other crowd will think and vice versa. We have a Subaru engine for god sake. No matter how silly it might sound we are a part of Subaru and BRZ are a part of Toyota. I'm really wanting those STI Recaro seats that came out. If I save up enough money eventually I will get em. It won't bother me a single bit that it says STI on them lol

And here are the sides and back shots. It went on with a couple of clameps, some tape, and rivets. hardest part was getting the stock mudflaps off. It was a really easy install.

What happened with the mud flaps? I have OEM mud guards and others have posted about paint loss when removing the guards.

Kit doesn't fit on top of them, and they wont go back on after the kit is in. I had no issue with paint loss. Only way I can see that happening is if they damaged it while removing. They are just plastic/rubber parts held in by push pins and a couple bolts.
