Question for everyone who has bought this header -- who goes through the ceramic coating and is it necessary?
@FT-86 SpeedFactory -- any risks in ceramic coating for a header and is any heat shielding necessary for this car?

Ahh, thank you for the feedback -- one thing I was afraid of is actually going through and coating the header. Appreciate the update!

Also interested in the header coating. Still haven't decided if I want to, coat or not. Are there any plastic bits near the header that could become more heavily degraded over time?

I personally am coating the header, OP and FP. Not because I have read or seen any real evidence that non-coated headers in a Twin result in any kind of damage.

But for peace of mind.

Is it possible to modify the existing OEM heat shielding to get it to fit? Making it unnecessary to coat?
