Good places to live in Orange County?

Just took a job with Elmore Toyota down in Huntington Beach, so the wife and I are looking to move down that way. Anyone know of good places to live around that area that takes dogs?

Stoked for the move and to actually be able to go to Irvine meets haha

Irvine is a good place to live.

Are you looking for a home or an apartment? What's your price range?

Irvine is awesome. We've been looking around there, Tustin, Rancho Santa Margarita, wherever honestly haha.

Either.

Trying to stay under ~1800 or so.

Could rent a pretty nice place for just you and your wife at that price in Irvine. Irvine is also very dog friendly. With Spectrum and Tustin Marketplace being dog friendly shopping centers and a few local dog parks! Just avoid anything NW of Tustin, like Garden Grove or Santa Ana. I'd say just keep looking in Irvine as anywhere farther south will extend your commute to Huntington Beach. Sad thing though, apartments may not have sufficient garage space for your twin! If it even has one that is...

Yeah Irvine has been looking pretty good. Tons of places available. Yeah I'm not holding my breath for a garage. I'll just get a car cover or something haha

I can vouch for Irvine too, nice place to live. About 30 minutes away from the beach, there's a nice back canyon(Santiago Canyon I believe). Very dog friendly community, the local shopping centres as said above, do allow dogs. I park my outside with a sunshade but I do dust it off every morning and wash it once every week.

what size dog? How big of a place do you want? Garage?

Irvine has been mentioned several times, and although its great(it truly is a fantastic place to have a place/family) its not particularly "affordable" depending on what you want. There are other nice places in the OC though!

I'm fine with no garage. I have a shop I can work on it no problem. As fas as size, we're fine with a big one bedroom or a smaller 2 bedroom.

He's a small boxer. Like 30-40 pounds maybe.

I'd throw Fountain Valley in that mix. Not as exciting as say Irvine or Huntington Beach, more of a mellow vibe going on. However you're never more than 20 mins from fun spots like Irvine Spectrum or the HB Pier. Plus rent tends to be a bit lower in Fountain Valley compared to the more upscale areas.

If you're looking to buy a home, I can hook you up as I work for a Real Estate team.

From what I've seen on tv, Laguna Beach is pretty intrigue- and romance-laden, so there's that. That was several years ago though.

Plus they have a Pasta Pomodoro.
