I think its mostly because of the typical washout in down-res photos. In person its a clear "t" / firebird (the bird not the car) pattern. Doesn't look weaved at all. Honestly though, unless you focus on it, all it really looks like in person is texture.

I don't think it looks that bad and will probably just leave mine as is. If I do decide it needs a change however I'll probably cover it in leather or Alcantara to match the seats. Maybe even try and emboss a BRZ logo or something.

right when I get my BRZ I have to take a few parts off for a sponsor of mine that wants to make gauges...so if you guys wait 3 months you wont have to worry about that silver panel... hehe

I will sure to use whatever JPM Coachworks comes out with. They have some nice STi stuff and have confirmed they are getting a BRZ in May and will start workign on it right away.
