Yeah, just like sleeping in a cardboard box instead of owning a house. The little sacrifices we make for the better things in life.

I`ll likely plan to do a very subtle carbon patterned Vinyl

the 3M DI-NOC is nice. But you`ll probably end up spending $80 to $100 on the vinyl itself if you go this route.

I`d price the FR-S piece first

Subaru tried to do something different with the silver panels. Might take some getting used to but I think it's a novel idea. Once I have the car I'm going to let it marinate before I think about swapping FR-S panels in.

If I do swap I'd wait til someone steps up as guinea pig with a write-up. I have a knack for breaking plastic tabs (#1 pressing reason I want to avoid touching it). I prefer nuts and bolts mods.

Wow. The DI-NOC is impressive. Seems like it's tailor made for the BRZ panels.

Looks like a 12" x 48" is about $30.

If I get a BRZ, I don't know what I'll do. I'll probably do nothing. I'm sure it'll grow on me...

If it doesn't... I'd try for the FRS's dash swap and see how much that is, or just go for a vinyl CF wrap like the DINOC.

ORRRR...

An Alcantara "wrap"...

If it annoys me I might do a wrap of some sort. Be terrified of snapping a tab or something though. Probably wait to see what other people do first. I want something that flows with the rest of the ****pit.

Ooh, should've read this first. Yeah, alcantara covering that would probably look pretty good.

My 08 impreza has very similar silver colored plastic parts on the dash. They look excessively cheap. That said, the fake carbon in the frs probably isn't much better. I have a feeling wraps will be popular with both cars.

Just get Rust-Oleum Textured Plastic Spray - Black. Looks a lot better than Plasti-Dip, only downside is you would have to sand it off if you ever wanted to Respray it.

Whatchu talkin bout?...plastic can be CNC'd easily...just need to create surface, fixture that baby up and engrave the letters...I'd already have it done if I still had previous job where I had access to that type of software and of course the CNC.
Lots of creativity in this group...I'm sure we'll get all kinds of ideas and cool solutions.

I painted the silver parts of my STI console to match the exterior (black). I might do the same with the BRZ.
