so does this damage the led lights by giving them less juice?

and i want to avoid the soldering part. are there any places i can buy the resistor with the wires attached?

also, the higher the resistor, the lower the brightness?

i've heard some of you say you added more resistors so you could add and remove to adjust the brightness. This is not a plug and play adjustment, right? Technically, you would have to resolder the points if you added more resistors?

what would happen if you connected wires 1 and 5 without a resistor in between?

would the leds light up 100% with headlights on?

I'm no expert and might not be 100% right but I’ll try to provide some info:

Yes the higher the resistor the lower the brightness. Imagine the resistor as a dam and the power as flow of water. The higher the resistor the more the dam is lowered (raised?). So less water is flowing.

Soldering isn't that difficult. Youtube a few videos.

I wouldn't just connect #5 and #1 with a wire without a resistor or diode. Limiting the power to the led will not harm it, but giving it more power then it can handle will. Placing a diode there will also stop the power from flowing back to the HID when your drl is on.
If anybody with more expertise could chime in that would be great.

Winjet Headlights

Will this set up work for winjet lights as well. I don't want to buy a $50 resistor from fteightysix if I don't have to.

Looks right. But if it doesn't work after install just flip the connecting wires around.
