Okay that makes sense, but even so one goal the developers had in this car was for the consumer to tune and customize it to their liking. IMHO, this seems like a serious limitation suspension wise.

As has been said before and will be said many more times: you have to pay to play.

If it's any consolation there are many cars on aftermarket suspension with no issues, it seems to be more prevalent with cars that have 1" or greater drop and changes from the OEM geometry.

I personally think it could be. Iwould only hear the ticking from the axle when i had some riding with me, thus putting more weight on that side. my noise also only seemed to be audible when i was downshifting or slowing down in gear. not so much when accelerating.

So you want to have your cake and eat it too

As others have said, pay to play. If you plan on adding additional power over stock or modifying the suspension, go ahead and pay extra for new axles. I read in another thread, that whatever your budget is for modifying the car, go ahead and double it.

Same here mine was only happening in first from a stop. I was only on a 20mm drop when it happened. But lots of autox launches.

Thanks for the replies. I guess I was a bit paranoid. Drove around yesterday and noticed the ticking went away. So I'm guessing it was something stuck to the tire which probably got dislodged. I will keep an eye on this thread going forward.

Garage
I have had my brz in over 6 times for issues that lead me to believe its a control arm or axle problem. Subaru has given me free alignments/tire rotations. They have replaced the bushings and the car still always pulls right w/ vibration in steering wheel and gas pedal. (Never jumped curbs)...... Anyone else having this issue or have an idea how to fix it.....

I can't drive over 80 mph without my car wanting to jump lanes of traffic (always right and gets worse the faster you go)

If I drive for over 30 min the tpms always comes on and the vibrations begins to get worse. Almost like something is heating up and expanding to the point of it hitting other metal.

In the shop six times? I would start talking lemon law. That's inexcusable.

That doesn't sound anything like an axel issue. Sounds like a bent suspension link if alignment is accurate.

New axles are definitely going to find their way into your budget. Personally wanting to SC mine with OEM suspension And i am allowing for axles .

I got the clicking about 6-8 months ago and it's getting worse. Stock suspension and only a tune. Changed from stock tires to michelin pilot super sports also around 6 months ago but no hard launches or autocross since the new tires.
