Trust me, it can get worse.

I've seen enough civics around here to know it can definitely get worse.

what?! no! why would you think that?! jk lol But yes i did mean you, and in all fairness I understand why you're against the TRD kit and etc. You make some good points, but i find it just points for you, or in other words...opinions. It just felt a little bit harsh when you pushed your opinions to an extent. Choices are good for consumers.

It's like going to McDonalds and getting a Bic Mac with sauce or no sauce. You want extra calories that do you bad? That's fine, cus to some it tastes good! If you don't want those calories and want to stay slim and eat healthy. Well...you can have it without the sauce ;3 I'm sure that's a bad analogy but I think you'll get what i mean

I can go back and find that picture if it would make you feel better. What better way to show someone how to do something correctly, then giving them a correct example and explaining HOW it works.

Once you see HOW the griffon works, you can look back on the TRD and see griffon influences (honestly, it might be the other way around. TRD kit came first), but see why they don't really work. The TRD parts, for the most part, are just pretty little posers. Which is why toyota sells so much of it. It looks good! And it LOOKS a lot like their race car.

Example:
My stillen wing is a smaller verson of a fully functional wing, so it has "racing influence" but it's not really doing much. It would have to be a good 5 to 10 times bigger to actually work and create usable downforce on the rear end.
I get what you are saying. All the parts coming out are designed for practical street/weekend racer speeds. I'm not sure how many of us are able to even come close to the speeds the Griffon sees and therefore we don't need aero as extreme as seen on that car. As far as my example I should have said rev.3 vs newest TRD pic (canards, etc...)

I think it should and I don't think it's gonna be the same as the TRD quad from Japan, I don't think it's the same Quad I might be wrong but I' don't think it is.

My vote is skip the exorbant cost of these special editions and buy a bare bones edition.

Modify the car yourself to your exact wants/needs. You will save money, have fun, potentially increase performance and loose weight, and have a unique vehicle.

@suaveflooder You are right this car is extremely sensitive to weight. Hell I notice a difference between a full and half tank of gas and when a passenger is in the car its a completely different (sluggish) animal.

We each have our preferences.

You know all the FRS's are "turn key" vehicles, right?

He means a car that you can hop in and drive. Not literally turn key vs. push button start, but a "turn-key" car doesn't need modifying to be acceptable.

I think he also means a car that he can turn the key and know that it is going to run properly without having to check all the turbo or supercharger hoses, clamps and plumbing to make sure they are tight and not leaking or sucking air. One where he does not have to worry about chasing CELs all the time or dealing with stiff ride and noisy resonances caused by bolt on parts.

Modding cars ALWAYS has a downside. It is just a matter of whether you want to deal with the compromises on a day to day basis. Obviously, he does not.
