Since everybody keeps asking about what the noise is at 3:59, it's an open wastegate. Some guys like it, some guys don't it's a personal preference thing. If you don't want that, then you can order a recirculating dumptube ($175 additional), and then that noise will turn down. Instead of dumping out, it'll recirculate within the exhaust system and that noise wont be as apparent

I was really hoping he wasnt confusing the sound of the exhaust with the wastgate but I think you might be right.

So im asumming this guy doesn't have a recirculating dump tube either?

The in cabin noise reminds me of my friends civic with an AEM intake.

But lets get back to the video wit the red car from the outside.

I feel like all im hearing is very loud and aggressive hissing lol

That's an open dump wastgate. It sounds like you want a recirculating one. Open dumps are EXTREMELY loud. Its essentially a 39mm hole in your manifold that opens when you hit target boost.

Yeah that's definitely got a screamer pipe on it, they sound better at higher boost levels

Exactly. And all the cars we've done here have been open wastegate. Personally I don't mind it, but I can see how some guys don't want to hear that every time you hit boost. Despite that we can still install either version here.

What you are hearing is the open dump wastegate. Mine sounds exactly like that when boosting hard.
I think the sound from behind would probably be a bit better.

If you don't want that sound, as suggested, you'd want the recirculating wastegate, then all you would hear is pure sweetness coming from the exhaust pipe.

I like open dump on this car past 425whp. It reminds me to make sure the car isnt pointed at anything that would kill me since after it opens the car becomes a little violent without some real good rubber.

Props to @MAPerformance. They fabbed and sent out a version of their crashbar to me very quickly. This gave me more than enough room between the IC and Rad/Condenser. Bumper fits correctly now too.

That is very similar to the crashbar I installed on my car.

You will see increased airflow.

Almost everyone except me has an open dump tube. Have you looked at my videos? They are on YouTube, and I posted them in the Boosted Exhaust Thread.

I do not have open dump either.

After a decade of open dump, just didnt want the noise anymore.
