Remix to Ignition
Hot and fresh out the kitchen...
Jk. What's up fellow 86 family members, welcome to my build thread. Car is relatively new, got a super good deal on the 10 series so I chose that over the monogram. Will be just focusing on its dashing good looks right now until the warranty is up, then I'll start with the performance oriented mods. At least thats what I'm telling myself but who can wait until the warranty is over? Anywho, onto my minimal build thread! Current Mods: - Stance Super Sport Coilovers (7k/8k) - Stance Lower Control Arms - Weather Tech Floormats - Rexspeed Mirrors - Perrin 2 Inch Antenna - HKS Drop in Air Filter - 86 Console Plate - Diode Dynamics LED Dome/License Plate/Trunk Light - Hard Style CS Shift Knob - Flossy Grip Tape Shorty Shift Knob - Resistor/Diode JDM Headlight Mod - STR 601 F18x8.5 +30 & R18x9.5 +35 - Falken Ziex ZE-612+ 225/40/18F & 235/40/18R - H&R DRS 15mm & 5mm Spacer - MTEC Shift Springs In the Future Mods: - Perrin SS Cat-back Exhaust - Kartboy Short Throw Shifter w/ Rear Shifter Bushing - Perrin Crank Pulley - Rev Works UEL Header - Motiv Concepts Overpipe - TOMS LED Taillights - EcuTek Tune Purchased my car on March 1st this year! Dat color doe Obligatory 2 fast 2 furious light up emblem badge picture Didn't believe in the Break-in period after countless thread surfing but I couldn't bring myself to not do otherwise lol Pretty little thang I originally bought Fortune Auto coilovers because I have heard nothing but great things from them but after a month of waiting for them to be built, they shipped them to the wrong person . Ended up getting a refund and settled with Stance because it was my second choice. I bought these wheels from another member and got it for super cheap! Aside from the crazy shipping costs of course. Circuit Soul Shift knob and Flossy's Heavy Weight Griptape Shift Knob. Too bad the CS shows that ugly plastic piece on the shifter but otherwise these things are awesome! In for some plastic surgery! Getting an alignment, the rear toe was completely out of whack. Some pictures of her with everything installed! lol The awesome guys at Rev Works did the installs for me and I couldn't be happier. It came out really awesome . I do want to go a little lower though, I'm planning to wait until it settles then adjust from there. I didn't end up putting the spacers on because I would've had to roll the fenders but probably will put them on anyway in the future. As for the coilovers, they ride better than I expected. It rides almost as comfortable as the stock suspension and doesn't rub when I go over speedbumps so I'm super happy. Thanks for checking out my minimal build thread guys! I will post better photos when I get the chance to shoot her! Last edited by PEWPEW; 04-28-2014 at 09:06 PM. |

Nice minimal build you've got going on! How low is your car now? I have been eyeballing the same suspension setup you have now... just waiting to pull the trigger.
Keep up the great work! |

and I don't know exact measurements since I just eyeballed it, but I'm tucking a little bit of tire (I plan on going lower when the suspension settles). Where I am at now there is enough clearance for no rubbing, no full lock troubles, and no speed bump problems! |

This has to be my favorite Ignition I've seen. I would build mine exactly like this.
You may call it minimal, but that's something this car can pull off so well. Oh, and lawl @ the disguise over the plate, haha. Last edited by Rockstar Lifestyle; 04-23-2014 at 03:52 AM. Reason: Lawlz. |

Super happy with the way it sits now, might look into front lip from Bayson R in the future. |

Awesome build so far!! I'm in the process of trying to nail down wheel style and color for my 10 series. I am usualy not a fan of silver wheels but it seems to work really well with this paint.
