Pretty much Chevron and Shell both work from my experience but it still randomly occurs. They came back stronger when I took my Unichip off FWIW.. waiting for my OFT to come to see if they can silence the crickets again.

Only ever used Shell 91 and never had crickets... 5k miles

Only used Chevron and no crickets as of 1200 miles so far...I do have that clicking sound, but no cricket chirping.

Top Tier Gasolines
The Gasoline you buy at a Chevron Gas Station may of been produced at a Shell Refinery and vice versus, by any number of So Cal Oil Refiners or Gasoline imports. The detergent additives used by each of the brands are the difference.

Ps: I found that in South Africa using Shell I get poor performance and Issues.. and so did other 86 drivers. We change feul to a laocal Brand called Sasol and crickets are gone....
