Talking Autocross and Friends

Hi All,

I signed up for my first Autox event and it's a little less than a week away. My friend and girlfriend are interested in crossing their cars but would like to come and watch before participating. I know that drivers also work so it's not like I can hang out with whoever comes during the day. Is there a good way to do this? Especially because I'll be arriving early and won't know what time I'll be driving or even how late I'll be there. Anyone advice? Should I tell them to stay home until at least the second event?

You can volunteer them to work with you! lol. They'd probably hate you for it. Just have them come out before the first car rolls off the start line and stay for however long they please.

They'd probably kick themselves after showing up late and seeing how much fun everyone else is having though

If they're working the event, make sure they bring sunblock and water.

Burns on the back of your knees are no fun.

Working is part of the fun too. Plus if you work before you drive, you can see how other people screw up before you do.
