Did a car wash.

And put a bag of Starbuck coffee bean in the car.

It smelt a lot better now.

I know someone might hit a skunk in the future, and this person might google for a solution.

So, hi man, coffee beans work.

Not all weed smells like that. My neighbor smokes some of the skunkiest weed I've ever encountered, and I thought he had a serious hygiene problem brewing until I realized what it was.

Azaleas. I'm not kidding. Azalea blooms have the same odor, only very faint.

If you want to know what a skunk smells like, find an azalea plant in full bloom and take a deep whiff. Then imagine the most unpleasant part of that odor intensified 1000 times.

Coffee works, but it's not always a permanent solution. If the smell doesn't fade quickly enough for your liking, you may need to look into getting the car ozoned. An ozone generator will kill a smell for good. That's how hotels get rid of bad smells when people smoke (or worse) in the rooms. You can rent them from some of the tool and cleaning rental places.

Unfortunately ozone will also eat electronics if not handled properly, so I would consult with somebody who knows what he's doing before locking your car in a garage with an ozone generator. My dad had a leak in his truck that started a mildew problem, and he killed it all (and the smell of it) by ozoning it for a couple of hours.

My dog has been skunked before. It's a smell not easily gotten rid of. Tried tomato juice, lemon juice, WD-40, special shampoo....nothing worked but time

I hit a skunk in my 2006 Impreza and the smell was unbearable. I went to petco and bought Natures Miracle Skunk Odor Remover. I mixed it with water in a spray bottle and sprayed the undercarriage, front end, and tires at the car wash and it really helped get rid of the smell. Hope that helps.

When I lived in Pennsylvania I had a skunk that would come out every night and roam around my vehicle. It became a problem, because every time I'd try to leave the house after dark, the motherfucker would be either right under my car or within a 10 foot proximity. Sometimes he'd spray after I'd get in my car and leave. I was always paranoid that I'd get sprayed directly, sometimes I'd come up on my car and jump on the trunk to get a better view of what was on the other end of the vehicle by the bush.

A simple solution would be to pull a handgun out and blast the SOB...but in city limits that wasn't going to happen. One day, browsing through the store an idea popped into my head...laxative chocolate. Bought a bar, sprinkled it around the car, and that evening watched the skunk come around and nibble on all the pieces. Poor rat bastard probably shat himself inside out, never saw him after that night.

Years ago, my buddy and I snuck a drive in his dad's S-Class Merc while he was out of town. He would've never known if it wasn't for the damn skunk we ran over... The smell didn't go away for a while.

Made my day, and thanks for sharing with us.
Which now begs the question: what IS "skunk" in swiss?

They are from 08 Sti. I rebuilt and powder coated them.
You might be able to check in my journal.
