FR-S at a CA Autocross

Someone from Toyota USA got a pre-production FR-S to a southern California autocross over the weekend. Three SCCA hotshoes got to run the car through the course...While they were not allowed to announce or publish the results for the FR-S, they had good things to say about the car:

"[All of the drivers] gave it very high praise. The car looked like a lot of fun to drive, with excellent turn in, rear end moving around and good balance." And,
"that the car was very competitive with other CS/DS stock cars on street tires. Granted, those [other] cars did not have [the same drivers], but [the other] cars had much better tires. [One of the drivers] said that it turned in better than any other stock car that he had driven."

Please do and post the video here when you find it! I'll also look myself but I'm at work (so in my free time sort of thing).

I'm dying to get into some form of racing like Autocross. I've been painfully waiting over a year to replace my Audi with the FRS just so I can do this.

I'm glad to hear that everyone really enjoyed themselves.

Quite a bit of lean evident in that second photo...oh well, a softer setup should make the car more pleasant as a dd.

I knew on Friday last week that the car was going to be at the event...and a friend of the shooter posted these on a racing-centricforum. There will be in/on car videos, but that is probably Toyota property and will get put through some post work before being made public.

Additional comments from the photog:
Scion wanted us to get the word out ... so I was hoping that the Exhibition Drivers would put out the word. I heard things like "Neutral" "Linear Power" "2nd gear a bit short" ... but we were on a very long course with a number of fast sections that had a lot of folks banging their rev limiters. "C-Stock" "Shocks ... will make this car."
