You sir should earn a medal. That's exactly what I'm trying to relay. The states and cities that don't get media coverage are usually the ones that get shafted. Wyoming, Seattle, Maine, North Dakota, Louisiana just a name a few. Lets do one in Hawaii so we can ship all our cars out to one awesome ass location.

I have been in contact with Thomson Speedway in CT. The speedway is in the beautiful rolling hills of CT, beautiful racing history, easy to get to for anyone on the East Coast, they have undergone extensive restoration on the road coarse there, and would be a little more fun than the average speedway. Putting together a proposal with one of their team members in the next couple days, to show honest intent. Please let me know who to pass this along to.

Charlotte, Raleigh or Myrtle Beach. All in the middle and all with great night life. Raleigh was just voted Top 10 cities for night life in the US

Not happening. For 2 major reasons:
1. The cost to make two events same time is just ridiculous. You got over $10G~$20G willing to pay upfront? Oh & don't expect to get all the money back.
2. How much time I need to coordinate two events at the same time is crazy. My hair got salt & pepper from last yr's event. If I coordinate two event at the same time, I'll be full silver hair! lol

If you wanna make Two event? Sure go for it. I'll just totally cancel this East Coast event. Cuz to coordinate all the things are just tiresome. Email all the sponsors, email & call outside sponsors, Advertise this event, coordinate location, go through contract, pay few G's for area rent, coordinate spaces for the vendors, coordinate members for autox/track, schedule flight/hotel/rental car, order plaque, coordinate car show, read shit load of PM/email & reply ASAP, explain to haters to understand the reasons for your actions, design & order banner, get logos from vendors... & there are way too many to do lists that needed to do. Just let you know, I'm not living off doing this. Which means, all the crazy stuff I go through & I won't earn any income, not a single cent. You think, mods get paid? Moderating forum & coordinating event, I'm doing all this for the love for 86 & members. I/we don't get paid to be mods or even get sponsored by anyone.

So let me ask you again, you think making two events is a good idea?
Shit I didn't even think about all of that. GOOD POINT!

Can we have a side poll to determine if Ichi should change his name to "Gingitsune" after the East Coast meet?

Or for a cheaper track day do Charlotte and run at CMP. Lots of breweries in Charlotte too

Tracks and Breweries are my 1-2 on selecting event locations these days
Racing central around Charlotte too, close to 50 race teams in the area, plus support industries, and not just NASCAR.

Yep, you guys included Shop tour? I'm sure Essex would give us a tour of their shop as they are a vendor here even.

NoDa brewery meet

As much as I love the Dragon as well, the traffic can get to be a bit hectic. A track day is a must! VIR, Road Atlanta, AMP, CMP, Barber....any will do.

Depending on when, a tour might be possible.

I can't guarantee anything though, but I can inquire, if CMP (Kershaw) is the choice.

Your shop isn't the only reason.

Charlotte is fairly central and has plenty of stuff to do. Chances are most 86 Expo aren't track guys anyways so the track stuff would probably be handled by someone else (I could be wrong but I really don't think the 86 Expo crowd is the track crowd at this point). Anywhere close to VIR has a lot less to do.

ATL area would be fun too. Two tracks nearby, walking dead shooting locations for those who want to do a cruise past a bunch, etc, and tons to do. A few decent breweries too. Unfortunately ATL otherwise sucks lol

i actually have no problem with it being farther south. i was just relaying how a good amount of the NE people feel since they wanted it in boston or ny.

to me it wouldn't feel as special since it would be in my backyard, but there are some good reasons to have it in NJ.

the VIR and ATL locations sound the best to me.
