Here is a stock 10 series I'm doing a clear lens on

You can see a flare/step on the right side after the main one

After the clear lens.. I need a bit more tuning I think..

Still has that upwards flare on the right

Hmmm I may raise the left then to make it one step. The clear lens really neatens up the cut off and looks much nicer.

Anyone mess with getting the LED's to dim when you turn the headlights on? I know the 10 series guys found a way with a resistor but I believe their wiring is different.

I've been wanting to do this too - the LED bars seem almost like high beams at night.

Hey guys, no matter which lights you have you can put the resistors on the led power wire to dim them down if you want. You can also put an adjustable resistor on it and wire it into the cabin to control the brightness of the leds.

Ok so I can basically just do this and be good to go? While full brightness looks awesome I must say just standing in front of my car at night they are blinding lol

Yes you can. If you have the conversion harness I make, they are wired on the high led side. You can move that pin from the high to the low. If this is the case, it will keep you from having to add the resistors and making the OEM harnesses looked rigged.

Well I'd still want them at full brightness in the day time when I have my switch on the parking light setting.

STV3 that is why I decided to wire the high in. You cant have both no matter how you wire them. Even if you ran that extra wire that others have done. You can only have high or low unless you want to add an adjustable resistor, which isn't OEM anymore. @GT86drifter the pinout is different from the JDM and 10series. They are on the forum. If you got a harness from me, email me and If you want them on low I will tell you which pin to move. The low isnt bright at all and is why I wire them on high. High is the default Daytime setting and low is the night setting.

Do you know if the Ballast is mounted outside of the headlight housing? I have a 10 series and I'm considering switching to D2S ballasts from The Retrofit Source so that I can run Osram CBI bulbs. Any insight anyone can give would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah its on the outside. I don't remember what it looks like exactly but from what I do remember it looked like it would come off pretty easy.

Thanks... Once it gets warmer out I may pull the bumper off and see how easy it would be to swap. The factory RX350 projectors on our cars are great but the stock d4s osram bulbs are only 4150K so they are a bit yellow for my liking. The Osram CBI bulbs maintain the same 3200 lumens but are closer to 5000K.
